Well this is going to end well.
Setlist whinging ensuing in 3 ... 2 ... 1 ...

1) What do you think it is about your music that your fans connect to that makes them so dedicated to you?
2) Given all the platforms there are to experience and interact with music, what do you think is the best way to enjoy yours?

As an in-between main Muse albums I'd like Chris and Dom to do an album together. Or at least release an EP of studio recordings of the various drum and bass jams.

You always take great photos Jess.

Really the dead crowd was more of an energy killer than the setlist. By the end I moved next to a few people that actually seemed to have some interest in attempting to enjoy themselves and it was a lot better. Not even gonna blame it on the song choices since people at the end, while not ecstatic, seemed pretty ok with it.
Would it be reasonable to blame the dead crowd on the doors opening late and late start time?
No?
Okay ...

Lol Bliss was on the set but was crossed out and replaced with PIB.
Yeah ... as much as I enjoyed the show last night, I wish I wouldn't have found this out.
Bay Area and LA are one of the more consistent areas, even if they don't get the absolute best it's rarely ever the worst.Yep! I'd rather see Muse in Oakland than in Sacramento.

I'm still trying to process last night. It was my 10th time seeing the band so I'm used to certain things at this point, but they still managed to impress me.
One thing I can say for sure is that while I'm glad they played "The Globalist" in full and I got to hear it, I think it would be better if they dropped it and put 2 5-minute songs in its place. Seeing it live just re-enforced my initial feelings upon listening to it on the album which is that the middle heavy section is the best part. If the whole song were that heavy section throughout, it would've been my top song of the album.
Will write more later after I have more time to reflect.

In line \o/
Even though I have seats, I'm gonna try come to the GA line when I get there and try to find you.

Don't say that Jess! The show is going to be amazing. Of the times I've seen Muse at Oracle they haven't disappointed.
Now if this were Arco/Sleep Train/Whatever it's called in Sacramento, then I'd be worried.
We're at the 12 hour mark everyone!!

Where you at in the seats Jess?
I'm in section 110. I decided to get a seated ticket off more to the side nearer the wings to get a better view of the stage set up. Plus I think I'll have a good view of the center of the stage to be able to see Dom.

Got myself a last minute (for me) seated ticket.
Early Christmas present to myself. Going to go enjoy the show and overpriced arena alcohol.

:'( It's beautiful.
Can't wait for next week (even though we've already heard half the album ).

Those set times are near perfect. Wish they would've switched Of Monsters and Men with Florence + The Machine. Florence into Muse would've made me so happy.
Still, really excited to be going to this. Looking forward to having a great Saturday.

Yeah! Muser party in the Loge section!!:party:

The side stage is GA even though the main stage is majority seated correct?
-
For people who have been to Weenie Roast before, do set times get announced before the show or on the day of?
-
As of right now my feeling towards this is very meh. This song is probably going to take time to grow on me (if it ever does). From what we've heard so far I think this is the weakest song. I know this is a cellphone recording, but nothing really stands out to me as memorable or "ear worm" material.
All that said there is some interesting instrumentation going on, but the pieces don't really seem to fit as a whole.

One week!

(Why should the Mayan get all the fun? Surely the boys could carry over one rarity to the next day. )

I won't be surprised if they end up playing some super rare b-sides/deep cuts for the gig, but the pro-shots end up axed from the final cut because the band "didn't think the performace was good enough" or "wanted those songs to be special for only those in attendance".
-
But somehow I still don't trust it.
You're right not to.
Remember the announcement saying you could watch Muse's Reading 2011 performance on BBC3, yet mysteriously there were eight songs missing in the broadcast?
