Second that. Although mr. Bellamy has done some crazy cool stuff with the FF, it´s completely useless most of the time. I rarely use the one in the DL-1 but it is definitely a must have to maintian the originality of the gutiar. My FF pedal sits somewhere in a drawer...

You mean vignetting? Not any noticeable vignetting with this lens so haven´t done anything to it really.

Yeah the Herbert seems really nice. Still think the ENGL wins in versatility though. But I have never tried any Diezel, but would love to one day.

That´s an ENGL InVader 100 on top of an ENGL Pro cabinet loaded with four Celestion V30s. It´s a beautiful amp. ENGL is mostly known for their all out metal/prog rock stuff. This amp does that too, but also a lot of other sounds. It can really go from super heavy to more classic Marshall sounds. The cleans are also pretty decent for a high gain amp like this. I´ve had it since last summer and so far I´m satisfied. Kind of want a Vox for cleans in addition, but I have to limit my gear spending a little:)

Yes it´s because I have used a wide angle lens for this shot. Wide angle lenses let´s you include more in the photo at a close distance. The penalty is that objects near the edges get stretched. Take a close up portrait shot of your girlfriend with a lens like this and she will never forgive you:) And thanks by the way!!

Thanks! That´s a Diago Tourman pedalboard. Way too big for me. I ordered the smaller Showman model, but it turned out to be sold out from the factory. The store offered me the larger model for the same price. The lazy fuck in me said yes. In addition to what Tom! listed there is also a Keeley Compressor and a Keeley Fuzz on the board.

Thanks JT! If I could choose I would probably go for Butterscotch. Problem is there aren´t many guitar stores around here who stock that many different Teles. And I score low on patience:-) But the natural finish has really grown on me already. Love the subtle pattern of ash. I really like black on black as well. Many years ago I tried to find a decent Stratocaster in black with black pickguard. I think those look cool.

Thanks bucket! Couldn´t agree more with you both. Also impressed how robust it is. Most guitars are built a bit delicate and kind of fragile. Teles are built like tanks. Solid wood and all solid, no bullshit metal hardware. Already loving this thing after just 24 hours.

I´ve heard they vary a lot in quality. As I wrote I played three US made, and the two others didn´t feel good at all. They felt kind of cheap and scored low on playability. The dealer was very enthusiastic about the Deluxe and recommended it for the versatility of the S1-system and stuff. But I can feel right away when a guitar doesn´t suit me, and that one didn´t. So far it sounds really good. Very twangy and Fender-ish. Bell clear cleans:)

Me too:) So far I´m very pleased with it. It brought back good memories of single coil pickups and their twangy goodness that I somewhat had forgotten. Really vintage sounding.

Note to self: don´t stop by the local music store to test nice guitars when you´re that bad at saying NO!! Always wanted a Fender Telecaster but never had one. Played through three guitars thoroughly for an hour: an American Special, an American Deluxe and an American Standard. The last one REALLY felt good in my hands and sounded killer. So it eventually ended up leaving the store with me. It´s an American Standard, natural swamp ash finish. Just love how clean and woody it looks.

That´s a nice upgrade. The D700 is a very powerful tool in a nicely sized body. I use both D300s and D3s. The D3s is a wonderful camera, especially in low light, but very big and heavy to haul around. That´s a limiting factor more often than I had thought.

That´s a good idea if you can find a beginners book on your specific camera. A camera specific book walking you through menues and buttons on the camera will get you nowhere closer to better photos. Learning the basics on the effects of different apertures, shutter speeds, focal lengths and so on is generic for all DSLRs no matter who made them.

Exactly. Shooting a DSLR on full auto gets you no further than a compact really. Search the web for noob guides and buy at least one book for beginners. And a lot of practice and experimenting is crucial for learning.
