Yus. And something along the lines of Depeche Mode sounds pretty good too.
But yeah, I'll definitely look into Hot Chip and The Chemical Brothers.
-
Ah, The Chemical Brothers. Yeah, I need to properly check them out. Thanks!
Electronic music is that music that I'm just in such a mood for right now.
-
Haha. Yup. Massive generalizations, those are.
Ergh, school. I am so exhausted.
Have you heard of Hot Chip? If so, are they any good? I got them recommended to me for good electronic music.
-
Hey. Sorry I haven't responded. Been busy all day.
Now why would someone laugh at someone for reading books? That's just idiotic. Oh, and ew Slipknot. It saddens me how generally people's only exposure to any form of metal is in that area.
-
I'm quite good. Just started school last week haha. It kinda sucks. How has hockey camp?
-
One of mine too. No problem.
Isn't Carbo also a regular poster in the PT thread?
-
Ænima! It's their best album.
But any of their albums will do, as they are all exceptional.
-
Frames is probably the most accessible. Effloresce is definitely my favorite though. Much love for that one.
-
I've ordered all my Oceansize CD's online as well, including the new one which I will pre-order. Which album are you planning on getting (out of curiosity)?
-
Ah I love Amazon! It gets fairly easy once you get the hang of it. I prefer record shops, but Amazon is fun just for the sheer anticipation of waiting for the album to come in the mail, although the selection is wide.
-
Haha I like your little message next to Karnivool.
Yeah, I tend to make lots of lists like that, but my album list (of albums to get) is one big clusterfuck of albums and bands.
-
Haha oh and as for Smashing Pumpkins, Siamese Dream is the way to go, it's the only album of theirs I would call outstanding.
Oh, and you're welcome on the Karnivool thing.
I used to do that all the time. It's irritating.
-
I haven't added to mine in a while but it's always been pretty damn long. I'll always want more CDs than I have.
-
Never heard Let There Be Rock, but honestly I have no desire to. haha
The music, the vocals, it's just all so bland and repetitive. Urgh.
-
On FaceBook it said that. 'Many people who like Pink Floyd also like AC/DC'.
-
Ok awesome.
Music-wise, I'll be quite pre-occupied.
Listening to the first song, and the guitar is very very nice.
-
wow that's actually really cool
The two closest ones are Transatlantic and Iq and I've never even heard of them! I'm gonna have some fun with this site.
-
I swear I've used that before. Is that the search site where they give you options for bands and you say 'yes' or 'no' as to whether you like them or not?
-
Indeed it is. Yeah, I know. "I masturbate to this song". Too much info there.
-
They do borrow Tool as a major influence so I can understand certain similarities, but both bands go off into different directions with their songwriting, plus I love both of them lots so I don't really notice much.
btw check out these songs:
-
Yeah, that's true.
A lot of people say that. The only similarities to me are the bass and the odd time signatures. I love them both for different reasons. What songs have you listened to?
-
That's not what I meant. I meant opinion-wise, they've never stuck with me. Meaning I've written stuff down and I'll play them later and think, 'hmmm this isn't great' or 'I don't know where to go with this'.
-
Oh yeah, I've done that before. I've heard a few cool things here and there by messing around but none have really stuck with me yet.
