Omg! I had exactly the same thing! It wouldn't let me enter the alias ID because my parent's were already registered or something.

Student finance are a load of shit!

I got a letter off them last week sending my birth certificate back and saying they were beginning to process my parent's bit of the application and it should take about 6 weeks. I sent them the forms 3 weeks ago, so you'll probably hear something in 3 weeks if it all goes through okay, I think anyway.
