  1. I got 2 tickets and applied for standing tickets. However the email says I have Unreserved Standing but they give me 2 seats... Is it the same for you? What does it mean ?

It's just the way these things work for many events. They have to give you an allocated "seat" number but it means nothing. I suspect your seat number is prefixed with GA0, or something like that, which indicates General Admission. There will be seating around the perimeter, which I expect will be available on a first come, first served basis, and which I expect not to run out as most will prefer to stand.

Is this 18+? I've read somewhere that it was, but can't find anything else saying it is. Hope my friend and I don't get refused entry. :erm:

Repeat from earlier, from my Ticketmaster email confirmation: "Under 14s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, aged 18 or over."

  2. Missed out in the ticketmaster sale this morning but is it right they had an earlier sale at 8am via The Sun. That's not fair at all on Muse fans who really want to go. I'm going to head there on Sunday with or without a ticket. See you all there!

Much as we'd like to think that Muse fans are above reading The Sun, the harsh reality is that this offer will have reached many fans!

And, of course, remember that this is a high budget film promo event, and nothing to do about giving Muse fans a free gig - it's all about trying to market the film. Our free gig is a mere side benefit for us. The film does nothing for me but, hey ho, take the freebies when they come - and many of us have!

  3. The plan on Ticketmaster showed only seating available with the stage in the middle but the ticket itself says 'unreserved standing'. Guess we have to wait and see.

I suspect it's all unreserved seating/standing just like Emirates/Wembley. And 15,000 is only as intimate as the O2!

Here's pics I took at one of the dress rehearsals for the Trooping of the Colour at Horseguards the same weekend last year. The day before the gig will be the first rehearsal, with the next a week later, and the real thing (with the Queen) the following week. The seats will still be there, but there's a big space in the middle to fill!

And for those who don't get tickets, we saw people watching from St James Park, held back by just a fence (you can *just* see them in the pic, behind all the soldiers). As long as they don't put up something annoying, the same may work for this gig - although the stage will presumably be facing away.

Looking from the seating towards (probably) the stage:

  4. I got two tickets and then found out afterwards that it's only a half hour set. I'm not travelling down for that.

Do you need photo ID to get in, or can I just pass my tickets on to someone else?

In my "Order Details" there's an option to "Transfer Tickets". Not sure if that'll work or not? I'm not about to try, just in case I throw mine away!

They do say ID will be checked, but you never can tell. They were hot on it at War Child, which nearly stopped the guy in front of me, who had *no* ID, but eventually talked his way through. iTunes was the killer, though, point blank no ID, no entry. Even checking very carefully that photos matched the person!

  5. I've just got my tickets via the Sun link, but i'm confused as to why I (and a lot of other people it seems) didn't get sent the 'Muse email list' special link?

Can any one shed some light on this? Considering I signed up 10 years ago I'd like to remedy the situation so it doesn't happen again next time!

Agreed, the impression given was that we'd get something, but nothing in our home pages, email, anywhere! Good job plenty (I hope) have got their tickets though other routes, but a poor show to set expectations and then not have them work (a bit like the Warchild presale, ahem...)

  6. another idea would be to make each ticket unique by placing names and addresses on them.

the only counter arguement would be that this prevents people getting in quickly when doors open, but if venues dedicated a large team of emploies to check que before doors open this should make the process alot more swift, as lots of people que early for good spots in the crowd.

Dedicate a large team of employees to check = extra overheads = reduce profits = not going to happen, sadly...
