About line jumping or people meeting up w friends 5 minutes before doors open...
It happens and 9/10 times no one says anything bc it's awkward and no one really wants to start shit while waiting in line in fear of being kicked out for starting something.
It happened at one of the gigs I went to. All the people who were within the first 50 people had been waiting for 7+ hours, the 2 people ahead of me were there waiting for hours, and then 5 of his friends show up moments before doors open. Trust me it's annoying, and frustrating especially when you waited over 7 hours outside. No one said anything, but the couple in front of me weren't too pleased.
If you are going to be expecting some people moments before doors open at the very least let those around you know so you can seem less of a douche. I don't care at all if it's one,,,maybe two that show up but when it's more that pop up out of nowhere it's really annoying.

I thought Muse opened for U2 in Tampa in 2009?
And they opened up for mcr in 07 but I'm talking about headlining tours, more specifically TR tour

That Tampa show (& maybe other shows) was actually booked but not announced per a Tampa radio station. Then Chris decided to make another baby & those set of dates were scratched (in addition to cancelling/shuffling already announced gigs).
So maybe now they know better now than to blurt things out prematurely. Yeah

That makes sense. We were all baffled at how FL got skipped over bc you know it's Florida. Bands rarely miss this place.

lol Matt was about to tell someone in an interview. Even if he did blurt something out I wouldn't trust his word, bc during the TR tour he told some people that they were gong to have a Tampa show and they never did. In fact they skipped over FL entirely so it's better he didn't say anything.
Also why are we assuming not Atlanta show? They toured for quite some time during the TR era. Don;t see why they;d cut this tour so short.

I was at two gigs and Matt stopped short of me both times during his hand shaking rounds he was like 2 inches away from me! -shakes fist- oh well, the gig was still epic, and I will say he is quite handsome in person.

one of the 97x dj's said today they have been trying to contact their management people? and have been pushing for them to have a gig in Tampa. I don't understand why we should have to beg. that gig would easily sell out.

they'll be announcing us fall dates soon! i'm so stoked! There will have to be a FL gig or two this time around! will finally get to meet fellow musers

Heard on 97x (Tampa, FL radio station) that muse will be coming to Tampa and other places in the US in the fall..
So there is hope! We were left out the first time, so I'm glad they are coming back...

Last might I heard 'Uprising' on mix 100.7 (Tampa/St.Pete radio station).
I was in shock, but happy to hear a muse song on another station that isn't 97x.

This is an awesome post. I used to be all about the GA/pit area when I was younger but the past couple of years ago I started moving to getting seats. I'm just not all about getting abused to watch a gig anymore.
That being said, I HATE the people that complain when I stand in a seated area at a concert. It's a bloody CONCERT people. I've had food and drinks and other things thrown at me numerous times because I refuse to sit down. I paid for my seat and can do whatever I want to do in it.
yeah why would anyone sit at a concert?
i remember back in 99 or '00 when i was in middle school i went to a bsb concert
w/ my friends. the lady behind us said"could you guys not stand during the show, my daughter won't be able to see too well"
seriously we just ignored her and enjoyed the show.
..the nerve of people to assume we should sit on our asses when we pay over $40 for a ticket to ENJOY the show.

I'm terrified but really excited. I wanna see Maffoo but it's probably not worth getting pulverized. Hopefully I will meet up with Musers for Phoenix I won't feel safe with just my one buddy.
Also: there is a place to put bags? My phone is a bit of a brick.

^ Yeah I briefly left the room and heard he was going to sing 'starlight' so I ran back. Ugh it was bad...I'm assuming they all never heard the original bc the cover was just horrendous and it was just sad. I was shocked that the judges said they liked it. Why did he think that song would suit his style...so not his niche and he admitted he was struggling with it during rehearsal.
