Howdy!

I want to pick your brains on a program(s) coming up.

I have a group of kids coming in for some programs (I had them in last year and they were a nightmare). But, that's for another topic.

Our summer reading theme is "Make a splash at your library". Nice theme. But the group coming in has their own theme.

The teachers want me to gear their programs towards "go green".

This is where the brainpicking (spelling) comes in. Does anyone have any great ideas for "green" programs? The age range is 10 and up I believe. I'm going to hit Google, but I wanted to see if anyone had some ideas.

Thanks!

lol. Interesting themes. Well, there's tons of arts & crafts you could do with recycled products - like making a book out of recycled paper. "Splash" and "Going Green" together makes me think of water conservation, but I'm guessing the kids coming in won't find that appealing. All the really good activities are more science project in form.

Yeah I was being a bit sarcastic about the splash theme. Not my favorite! In the past, we had some cool themes. Mysteries, magic, dinosaurs. Just to name a few.

The book out of recycled paper sounds like a cool idea! Thanks Jujubean!
