t0r0n4d0 Posted January 15, 2010 Share Posted January 15, 2010 I'll be with my two daughters so I probably won't meet up unless I think it will be a somewhat family friendly event… But here's a few suggestions for those of drinking age. Flying Saucer: It’s about 10 blocks away from Toyota Center on Main street but it’s a fun casual bar with a couple hundred kinds of beer on tap. Strip House: This is a steak place maybe 3 blocks from TC on the North side of the Park Shops Mall but it has a small lounge style bar. Four Seasons hotel: About 2 blocks from TC, one or two cool bars and restaurants in there.. Hilton hotel: Next door to TC, a bar and restaurant on bottom and another really cool bar on top with an amazing view of downtown. My first suggestion is more casual and the next three are more upscale. I can’t really think of any casual spots that are close to the arena. Possibly the Four Season as well just because it's so close.... I definitely can't meet up before the gig... I'll be driving down from FW just like agntexas and yanks02 and I wanna make sure I get to the TC with plenty of time... but AFTERWARD I'm all for it! KaseyMarlena Posted January 21, 2010 Share Posted January 21, 2010 I think meeting up is a great idea! since i'll be flying solo i'll need to meet some houston musers to chat and hang with! i'm not too familar with downtown, but i do know where the flying saucer is and i've heard good things about that place! we should def. work something up if we can!
