So, which version of Starlight do we expect to see this tour?
-
Those Smiles.
-
Escape, Soldier's Poem, Sober, and The Small Print (I remember seeing more negative than positive comments about this song on this board, which surprised me).
I haven't actually heard Muse's version of Soaked yet. Will get right on that.
EDIT: Soaked was good. Nothing special, but good. Some nice piano work.
I think it's more because it was on Absolution and Fury wasn't than its real quality.
And to stay on topic, Supermassive Black Hole.
-
I say it every time but Undisclosed Desires is one of Muse's finest pieces of work
-
Best NSC?
-
New Born > Agitated .
-
Fury is the best song from Absolution era.
It's also better than anything from the Origin and Showbiz eras.
-
Who on earth listens to the second half of that gig?
Good point.
-
The guitar is never too loud.
It is if you can't hear the bass in Hysteria.
-
But Overdue is the worst Muse song of all time.
Wrong, as usual.
Muse picked the wrong Wembley gig for HAARP.
-
Here is a controversial one:
Dom should switch back to acrylic drums.
-
Easily should have been on BH&R instead of Exo-Politics.
-
Best Plug in Baby?

Is there a thread for a Muse song you used to love but now hate?
I fucking hate Hysterias guitar tone on the Live From Rome release. Hate.
Yes, too fucking clean.
Hysteria's guitar tone has been shit since the Absolution Tour. No beef, no whammy, no crunch, yuck x6,245,890.Shame, because the bass tones have only got better.
Couldn't disagree more if I tried, to me the best bass tones were HAARP/ 2010 summer shows.
And the guitar tone in HAARP was ok IMO.
-
IBTY's guitar version is fucking incredible and would've been the best song on Resistance had it been on the album.
-

I too enjoy songs usually considered bad, and therefore I'm controversial.
You enjoy Paramore, of course it means that you enjoy bad music.
-
Any chance they will play 3 piano songs per gig next tour?
-
...
what?
-
This means that LP7 has a 3-piece rock raw sound!!!
Nah, merely means that Muse aren't touring until the next summer.
Morgan was never involved in recording the albums as far as I know.
-
Lol.
You'd rather die than listen to KoC.
-
You were just wrong Frakkles
But I thought Frakkles was never wrong?
(And if the didn't leave the stage after NB/SS, why would they locate the spot there and not after the B stage stuff?)

THERE are hopes for a second Muse homecoming to honour the historic Teignmouth Pier.
The iconic structure re-opened for the first time today since it was forced to close when winter storms ripped through the timber floor and tossed arcade machines around like coins.
The devastation caught the eye of Muse frontman Matt Bellamy who earlier this year lent support to the Brenner family, who have owned the pier for generations.
Now, the pier has re-opened for the first time and is planning great things for its 105th anniversary next year.
Owner Nik Brenner said: “I don’t know Matt but I have been told that he has been kept updated on the repairs by Tim Bouget at Ode in Shaldon.
“It was really nice to see him when he was here in February.
“It is a really big anniversary for us next year and who knows, we may be able to persuade Muse to come back and do a little something for us.”
The supergroup played the Den in two homegoing gigs for A Seaside Rendezvous in 2009.
The pier featured on their artwork for the sell-out concerts.
Nik said that there has been so much support for the pier with lots of wellwishers who have been following the progress.
The opening day comes just in time for the school summer holidays.
He said: “What can I say, the sun is shining, it has been very hot and very busy.
“It is fantastic to finally be back in business.”
The Brenner family, who have owned the attraction since 1962, said hundreds of thousands of pounds of damage was done in the worst storm for decades.
It has taken delivery of new machines, some of which are having teething troubles, said Nik.
“There have been a few teething troubles because some of the machines are completely new to us so please bear with us, We are doing all we can to ensure that everything is working properly.”
The pier originally opened in the 1860s and has been a popular attraction ever since.
Album 7's first gig there may next year?

I know this one is controversial but stil:
Wembley 2010 isn't that good of example for second night syndrome.
Best Live Performance of any one song

And of course the infamous decision to exclude Fury from the Absolution.
(And I do believe that regarding live shows Matt's opinion doesn't carry more weight than Chris' or Dom's)
