  1. There's no doubt in my mind that those 24 song stadium gigs are exhausting, but go off stage, take a 15 minute break after 15 songs and play another hour bringing up the total to 23-25 songs a night. Opener at 6:45, Muse at 8:30, show is over at 10:50ish. Seems more than reasonable.

Kasabian did that at their iTunes festival show 18 months ago.

Tom Meighan still sounded fresh after 25 songs.

  2. 2010 since we were talking about American centered complaints, and the Resistance leg began in 2010. It indeed was heavily a carry over from the 2009 European arenas which were also disappointing.

Weren't TR tour gigs 17 songs long in Europe (Bar a handful that got 18 and Torino that got 19) and 16 songs long in US in the spring and 15 songs long in the fall? (Bar a handful that got 17, and NY and LA that got 18) So about a song short.

I think we can all agree that The Resistance was the start of the fall.

    This.

Although T2L was much better in that regard, 21 for Europe and 19 for America.

  3. No idea if this has been mentioned before, but after listening to this song for probably the 100th time (my favorite on the album) I think I finally made out what the electro-synth voice is saying during the chorus:

"You can run but you can't hide"

Has this been conclusively confirmed/denied? Would fit perfectly with the theme of the song. Thoughts? Am I crazy for hearing that?

Yeah, it's been mentioned a fair bit. It's "You can run but you're never gonna hide".

How the fuck have I never heard it? :stunned:

Edit: in second thought; aren't the lines just "Killed by"?
