  1. no, Matt must learn how to interact with the crowd. one of the reasons why last night's show was caput, it was because matt was lacking with the showmanship.......

The encore playback tame was so cheap....why would they play a tape of the Globalist and not try to actually sing and play the song.

That alone , it cheapened the show.

We should demand our money back!!!!

Did we see the same show? Because Matt DOES sing AND play during The Globalist. Perhaps you're thinking about Drones. :/

And Matt doesn't have to "learn" to do anything. The majority of the people attending these shows are more than happy with the performance he gives. My goodness, you're nothjng but complaints. I wonder if he tailored a show to your specifications if you'd still find issues with it.

  2. The U.S. has a lot of safety restrictions that Europe and other countries do not. So, since you do not like seeing them in the US, save your money and fly to Europe. Problem solved. Then, you get the Muse setlist with the Muse crowds you want.

I've been on the floor for 4 shows so far this tour. I have two more. I am having an awesome experience, meeting incredible Musers. The setlist hasn't changed much from show to show. This was the first one I didn't hear a song that wasn't already played. I was excited hearing Reapers again but wanted Bliss. It's been switched out for Plug In Baby 2 of the 4 shows. I was hoping for something special last night but it is what it is and I'm happy to see them live and up so close not once but 6 times.

I've walked away every show so far with a souvenir from the band: setlists, harmonica, drumstick. It can't get much better than this than meeting them.

Be thankful you're getting a tour and an opportunity to see them. One day, inevitably, tthat will be taken away. Every tour has its issues. Drones isn't perfect but I've been having an amazing time despite the headaches I've run into during this journey.

Edit: I take total offense about the age issue. I'm 43. I've queued for these shows now on an average of 10 hours/show. And many of the people who have been following them around the country, queuing out these long hours are not in their 20s. The comment about age is very ignorant. I know I'm not sitting there acting like I'm seeing Adelle.

  3. A few of my photos. I wasn't having a good day with the settings on my camera. :/ But, as you can see, it was an awesome moment for me and my daughter. She just about died when Chris walked back over to us to throw her the harmonica. I worked so hard on that damn poster too. lol It was amazing though. I was handed a set list before Knights of Cydonia was over.

  4. Good for you, well not the death of you! Enjoy it! It will be worth it.

Actually, i think it's fucked up how AXS does this last minute ticket release shit! To the real fans who tried buying these GA/Floor or lower bowl tickets when they first went on sale and now are stuck with average to upper level tickets are now screwed out of great seats because of this shitty AXS bullshit website that is miles worse than ticketmaster!

    Does anyone agree with me?

I know it will be worth it. lol This will be shows 3 & 4.

AXS has the worst ticketing system. THE WORST. But, it's common for tickets to be released before the show. I didn't buy LA at the on sale because they were upper level seats and wasn't about to sit up there.

The problem with AXS (and I've heard TM & LN do this too) is that they can block your IP address if their computer system thinks you're being too aggressive in your ticket buying. I was screwed out of 2 row center seats for Soulsavers (a band that Dave Gahan has done a side project with). I was buying only 1 seat and was blocked and locked out because I was searching on two laptops trying for the best seat i could get. I guess it thought I was a scalper. The way around it is buy from a phone and not use your IP address which is bullshit.

Oakland didn't get Reapers at all, so don't be so fast.

However, since the last show was a crummy setlist (compared to previous on tour so far), I'm hoping the LA shows are awesome. C'mon crowd! Lets do this!!

I think the LA shows are going to be magical. Saturday is the one though. That's the one I think will be special. We got Reapers in AZ so it threw me when they didn't play it in Oakland. I was bummed they didn't. LA will most likely get it at least one of the nights. I got a setlist in Oakland and Bliss was supposed to be played instead of Plug In Baby. So, hopefully, they will play Bliss once in LA too. I have 4 shows left. I'm sure I'll hear it at one of them. lol

  5. Concert parking is always $40 there :/

I just received an email from TicketMaster that parking doesn't open until 5:30 today?!?

Are there alot of people lined up? And is the line at the BART ramp?

I parked at the Bart station. It took me forever to find a spot. We are actually in line at the venue on the south side. There's about 18 people in line.

  6. $40?! Omg. I'll definitely park at the bart parking lot.

My excitement balloon has been deflated since they cancelled the Vegas show. :supersad: I feel like something is going to go wrong with this show too. I hope that's not the case. I suppose I'll get excited once I'm there and they start their set.

OMG! I've been driving since 4am!!!! Don't say that! Lol

  7. Thank you both for your help:) I always have to show it isn't detachable but it's yet to be rejected. I'll definitely ask before the doors open. I'll be heading to bed shortly to wake up around 3am. Praying I don't hit snow or ice during the drive in the Grapevine.

Holy cow!!!! WTF!?! I was just on their site again and $40 for parking! WOW. That's absolutely outrageous.

  8. Why can't it ever be simple? Line up at the queue without having to worry about whether or not the venue will honor those who have actually been there early or just make it a free for all. I'm leaving my house in So. Cal at 4am to be there reasonably early. I'm already preparing for the worst experience.

Can someone please tell me the Oracle's camera policy? I see you're able to bring one in. I have a point and shoot that often gets stopped for being close to "professional." Also, parking. I'm assuming if I'm required to queue at a Bart entrance, I will park in the proximity of this Bart location and then move my car later? Sorry. I get OCD about these things and tend to freak out when I have to fly by the seat of my pants...

  9. I'm planning on going early but seeing how somebody commented that they don't let you line up early on site then I don't even know where to line up. Anybody else plan on lining up early?

I'm driving up from LA actually so I'm at a complete loss now what to do. I want to be at the barrier and considering I'm driving so far will be more than angry if I can't get close. There's no one who knows how this venue works?

  10. I'm looking for either GA for Friday or seats in the lower levels for Saturday. My daughter was supposed to go to the Oakland show and her professor decided to change his final to the day of that show. We had been planning on traveling to Oakland, now that's not possible. If anyone knows of extra tickets, please PM me.

  11. the worst part is (well besides wasted flight, hotel, etc... for this weekend) is they rescheduled for a Saturday night show on Jan 9th which means hotels, flights, etc... prices will be ^^^^^^^^^^^^ sky rocketed! At least i'm hoping for a decent Coachella line-up! Muse, I love you and will be at both LA shows but ughhh sooo dissapoopinted <<< bad spelling because im drinking lots of tequila tonight and im very disappointed!

    RIP Scott Weiland!

I just booked for the weekend of the rescheduled show. Actually, Friday night was more expensive at Mandalay Bay than Saturday night. Still pricey but maybe if you book now, you'll avoid the jacked up prices.

By the show, we may know who's playing Coachella! Another one hoping for a decent line-up too.

  12. Last night's show was a great start to my mini Muse tour. I should be in Vegas tonight :/ but I'll take it in January. I've already booked my room at Mandalay Bay. I was lucky enough to get a drum stick from Dom and gave it my daughter. I liked the 360 set up more than I thought I would. They definitely didn't disappoint. It was a shame they weren't able to sell more tickets though.

On to Oakland for take 2....

  13. If those VIP seats aren't sold, Ticketmaster will probably just wind up selling them for regular price. It might not happen until a few days before show date.

They put them on sale at regular price today. I've been waiting for another GA seat. All the VIP leftovers are now available as well as more GA.

  14. According to my friends who went to all of the Mexico City shows, the barrier fits about 300 people! So there will be no need for queueing all day!

That's good to know. My daughter and I will be coming from the Arizona show the night before. It's about a 5 hour drive. So, I guess we'll leave in the morning to get there in the early afternoon.

  15. Well AXS definitely screwed me out of tickets. It started with the Goldenvoice and KROQ pre sales, where I attempted to purchase tickets. I was able to add tickets to my cart, I am not kidding you, 11 times, went through the checkout process 11 times, only to receive error messages when I would press the button to complete the order. Yes that means I put on my address & credit card info 11 times, lost out on great seats in the process & ended up with nothing in the end. I called to ask for help 3 times, only to be hung up on, be told the presale was over ( which it wasn't) & be told the third time that no tickets are available. Pure ridiculousness. So ok, I miss out on the presale. So I try for the regular sale only to get constant error messages for an hour. Of course when I finally got through later, no tickets were available. I tried calling, busy signals. So sadly I won't be able to see MUSE this time around, not due to my efforts, but to AXS.COM & their shoddy ticketing system. They are beyond horrible. Sooooo Mad. Anyway, hoping they add a second date but I hope I don't go through the madness again.

P.S. If anyone has a pair of extra tickets they're willing to sell, PLEASE PM me!! Thanks!!

I know what happened to you. It's what happened to me on a different show. It sounds like they blocked your IP address thinking you were a scalper. That's what happened to me. How do I know? Because, after I lost my prime seat, I couldn't pull a ticket for ANYTHING on the AXS site. I kept getting the message that there were no seats available. 45 minutes late of realizing what happened to me, I pulled a ticket on my phone after turning off my wifi! Went back on to the AXS site immediately after purchasing this ticket to test my theory about blocking my wifi... Yep, my laptop could not pull a single ticket for shows that I was pulling on my phone.

  16. Revolt has to come out at some point.

Is there a US TV show that's still relevant that they could play? Holiday festivals?

Hmmmm... I hadn't considered this. The KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas will be right around the LA dates. It wouldn't be surprising if they got them to play even though they just played the Weenie Roast in May.

  17. So despite not having a members code I was still able to get in on the 91x presale this morning and scored some of the best seats I've ever had for a show. I was able to make it through the axs waiting room in like 5 minutes too. I guess the Muse Gods were on my side for this one. This will be my third time seeing them and I can't wait. See ya guys there.

Congratulations. AXS is a bitch. I'm glad you were able to get through and score great seats.

  18. Someone has 30 pit tix on Stub Hub....how did that happen when the limit is 8? Scalpers are the worst. Thankfully I scored tix via the KROQ presale but AXS is making Ticketmaster look like a dream!

This pisses me off. AXS is the worst. The F**CKING worst! I recently was almost shut out of a concert because they blocked my IP address due to my refreshing too many times and causing suspicion that I was a scalper. Seriously. I try to avoid that site at all costs. I've never had a good experience. Their waiting room is bullshit. I'm good at pulling tickets but it seems like ever AXS on sale, I get shut out of or crap seats. I may stay away from the staple shows and just travel to see them because of them. Or, I'm buying VIP tickets for one of those.

  19. So is it safe to assume that I can pick up my tickets at the box office early a.m. and come back correct?

You'll have to check with the box office. A lot of box offices don't open until a few hours before a show unfortunately.

I've never been to this venue before. Is there anything I should know in particular, for example parking, how early to get there, non-obvious hassles?

It's so weird how the same band can put on a show at two venues (comparing to Staples in this case) and have tickets that are like $15 apart. Just cuz it's SD vs LA.

LA is a huge market. Therefore; it has a huge mark up value. You also have to consider that the venue charges the band more as well. The Hollywood Bowl, from what I remember, is the most expensive venue in LA and I avoid it at all costs. The price differences are crazy. I'm going to see Florence + the Machine in Santa Barbara and 2x in SF for a little more than one upfront ticket in LA.

I saw Depeche there a long time ago but had seats no GA. My daughter and I will be driving from the Oakland show the night before straight to this one. We'll stop at home, shower, eat, and be on our way to sit in line all day.

  20. Do you have to pick up tickets at WillCall, I may have to take the day off just to pick up tickets because of my work schedule.

If you have prime seats, yes. Muse likes to do that a lot of their venues to avoid scalping. When I saw them in LA on the 2nd Law tour, I had premium seats. I had to use my credit card AND show my id as I entered the venue. The tickets were then printed out at the door. Kind of sucks because I place all my tickets in an album. When I saw them in Phoenix, I didn't get an actual ticket with their name on it. It was a printed ticket that said "GA" and the date. Nothing else. :/

  21. AXS is the absolute worse. Their waiting room is bullish*t. They also will block you if you're searching too much and they think you may be a scalper. Last week I lost a 3 row center seat to a show because of that. Had to repurchase on my phone without using my wifi. Ridiculous.

I was shut of LA for now. I'm assuming they will add 2 or 3 more shows there. I've got Oakland and SD for GA.
