  1. :erm: You aren't exactly new here, but like Tjet said, you should post this in the U2 thread in the Other Music subforum. No reason to see why this should be an exception, your question isn't directly relevant to Muse. Tbh I was expecting you to ask "what if Muse did a similar thing etc. etc." Then again, Album Seven thread.
  2. How have people interpreted that as an announcement video?

I'm assuming since it's been awhile since Zepp's been mentioned, the reason he brought it back up again (other than to troll and stuff) is because Zepp is getting released.

Speculate all we want, but it would be kind of an arse move to not release it now.

  3. I still think royal bloods come over riff sounds like a bassier version of Stockholm syndrome. My cousin is good friends with the guys and I have met them myself and they are both big muse fans whether this influenced them who knows and strangely it also seams muse are big fans or royal blood :)

I definitely hear some Muse in Royal Blood but I think I hear QoTSA more. But they have potential. :yesey:

How the hell Civil Sin is inspired by Muse?

You don't hear New Born in Civil Sin's chorus? During the bridge when the vocalist is singing...or "ahh"-ing also reminds me of Muse.

  4. The cancellation was a bluff. They played a super secret gig to one fan who is under an NDA with regards to the set played.

I bet they played Muscle Museum.

Muse must be only able to play it once every 6 years and then the pedal disappears, explains why they forgot.

  5. The guy wearing mirrors is invisible, pulling strings and influencing change behind the scenes.

That made me think of angels, doing God's bidding. Or something. If that's the case then it's pretty cool that the mirror man and the All-Seeing Eye man are sitting across each other, as if they were opposing forces. I suppose the guy in gold represents the rich, looking to the All-Seeing Eye.

As much as I think where they're looking is not terribly intentional.

  6. Nah man, Starlight.

    Shit.

Anyways, I'd imagine it'd be something like -

    Exogenesis Part 1

    Supermassive Black Hole

'Dead Cuts'....or more realistically, another hit

    Sing For Absolution

    Isolated System

    Starlight

    Knights of Cydonia

That's exactly what I thought, but the whole thing may have a double meaning.

Sure, if it does to you. To me, it's more about looking at the finer details. In Part 1, there's part of the lyrics about how the protagonist laments being trapped in God's program and how essentially we're destined to die anyways. Makes me think for a bit.

  7. Gonna skip some questions seeing as they're already answered.

4/ In Shrinking Universe, who is Matt talking to?

I suppose corrupt politicians more than religious figures. It's like how their 'ideals' are destroying the Universe, so there's really no reason to live anymore from the protagonist's point of view.

5/ Will Muse ever play a concert in space?

They may, but they probably won't be the first. Preparation and all that is of course required. I'd say they play 5-7 songs. High chance they'll play Knights of Cydonia to end the gig.

8/ What do you think will be the name of their next album? And what will it be about?

Christmas the Apocalypse. (at the end) https://soundcloud.com/triple_j/matt-and-dom-from-muse-chat-to

    Or in all seriousness, Fallout.

9/ In Thoughts of a Dying Atheist, is Matt talking about him and talking to himself, or is he portraying a random atheist?

As mentioned, partly him, partly someone generic or random.

11/ In Exogenesis, was Matt inspired by a book in particular, or is he presenting his own "vision"?

    I'd say both.

12/ What is the meaning of the Exogenesis Symphony? What are the links between the three songs?

Part 1 - Humans face the inevitable end of the world.

Part 2 - Humans decide to send other humans to another planet.

Part 3 - The other humans realize that if they don't want to face extinction, they need to learn from their mistakes.

13/ Would you like to see another symphony from Muse, or do you think they should stay away from classical music?

    Not for the next album.

16/ Do you think Matt's reads about MKUltra made him paranoid?

To some extent, but it can't simply be placed only upon reading MK Ultra. It's an accumulation of years of reading such material.

17/ What unexplored theme do you think Muse should talk about in their next album?

    Communists, consumerism and goat/sheep sounds.
