All I can hear when I listen to Aftermath is the song "We Are Sailing"
-
Cant wait till they release the Revolt lyric video later (assuming they do obviously)
I'm very interested to see the general reaction to it
-
Among my best Muse songs ever!
It's a fucking great song, huge riff and breathtaking solo!
Lyrics may be cheesy but are really uplifting and positive, what more could you ask for really
-
Why the hate for The Globalist? I get that it was overhyped, but it's still fantastic
Yeah, easily one of the best tracks they've ever done!
-
You're late pal, the Punic Wars started long time ago.
I'm never late. Only early.
-
Really? Oh. Well that explains the last two albums to. Mutt time traveled back in time and told Matt to be as blunt as possible.
Like Interstellar but with shit lyrics...

Deleted Revolt.
Couldnt take it.
Reapers->Handler->Defector->Aftermath->Globalist is great
You lightweight
-
You say that like we have more info that it will be heavy?? What's made you consider it?
Matt said this evening that they'd play a 'unique' heavy set at Download. Got chatting about it with my best mate and were thinking about possibly going now.
Edit: I see Jess told you
-
Starting to think the Queen elements actually work in the context of the whole album, as the places they show up are around the time when the protagonist is rebelling and both the Defector and Revolt seem to convey a sense of euphoria. After this they cease during the more melancholy track Aftermath until the lament of Drones (if we consider the Globalist as seperate from the narrative).
However, still dont rate Revolt at all
Intersting perspective, I think I would agree with it too.

Me and my friend are thinking of attending Download now to see this 'heavy' set
-
look who is happy because he has won
out of adele puns already though
well anyway I am happy that my hype for The Globalist was not failed
-
aye thanks
I still don't get the shitting on revolt though
I defector is actually my least favourite of the entire album so far
aftermath sounds really cheesy but it is still okay
well let's hope my hype for the globalist will not be disapointed
if it is I will set fire to the rain

Taking the piss out of DJ's
Edit: The pyramids comment
"Wake up changed forever"
-
Why not go? Still tickets on sale....I'm in the same position....I want to go but I live quite far away!
I know. I have money too!
I just wouldn't go by myself!
-
FFS I wish I was going to Download now
-
Just got my Defector form iTunes
-
"Big package"
-
Matt and Dom are there after the news!
Everyone sunk into this thread
Ahh cool, thanks for the heads up!
-
So who is listening Radio 2? soon!
Why? What's happening?
-
I've just listened to The Globalist again
I could listen to that riff endlessly. What a moment!
-
I think 2nd Law was a bit easier to like straight away, but didn't stand the test of time (imo). I think this album is a bit more difficult to like but will be a grower
I think that's a good point.
-
no I do haha, it was an affectionate term
Oh!
-
They're a right pair of scamps
You don't like Hoodoo?

Musically it's great but that melody, I can't get away from it
It's the only song that tempts me to skip in the entire album.
Definitely the weakest track IMO.
Still a 7/10 though...
