I guess I'm in the minority in that I have listened to this song several times outside of the actual album?
Definitely a minority, but not alone.
-
Nope nope nope nope. I just can't. This song is... nope nope nope. Fuck, I'm beginning to not mind it. Nope please. What's happening with me? Am I revolting? Fuck this song :twitchy:
Your ass belongs to Muse now. Sooner or later, they'll all succumb.
-
Yeah, this has to be in the running for Most Instantly Popular Muse Song of all time.
I'm afraid of overplaying it, but at the same time, I can't stop!
-
Aftermath is one of the most beautiful songs they've made.
Agreed. To me it sounds like Blackout, and I love Abso so .
-
Now that I've listened enough to get past the hysterical laughter, I actually like it. I'd much rather hear this live than Guiding Light, NSC, and even Starlight, and it's far too catchy for my peace of mind. This one should have been one of the singles, just to freak out the fanbase; I could see it getting serious radio play, too.

Within the frame of the entire album, this track stands out even more. Fucking amazing track. Definitely one of my top 10 songs.
+1.
I can't wait to hear it live. I'm going to rock out on Chris' side of the barrier and worship that filthy bass.

The Handler was my favorite from the first time I heard it, and none of the others came close before or since. It fits right in with the OoS and Abso greats.
-
I like it! It's chill but not boring. Reminds me a bit of both Exogenesis (the best part of The Resistance IMO) and Blackout.
-
Movie intro + Soaked + Helsinki Jam with cool bg vocals + the instagram riff + Eurasia piano?
No CE2 here. Matt knew The Handler was their best, so he hyped up this one instead.
(I'm joking, of course. has no explanation.)
-
This song is hilarious.
-
'Live stream unavailable for me'. Is it over?
Yep, they only played for an hour or so.
-
Probably was to mask that wrong chord he played 5 seconds before.
Smooth! I guess we can pretend we didn't notice.
EDIT: Thanks for the video!
-
Resistance! I guess they finally realized they're back in the US and reacted accordingly.
Well, my minuscule hopes of hearing Hyper Music are back down to zilch.
-
Does anyone have an actual list of US theaters, if any exist? The tracker says there's nothing up to 300k miles from where I live, and that seems a bit wrong...
It did the same to me if I typed in my city, but if I use my zipcode then they do show up. Not that it lets me buy anything, I get a 403 error if I click on the link!

Surprised no one brought up Bliss as closer, like it was way back in the dark ages...or rather, the mushroom ages. I've only seen it live in 2013, both times mid-set, but I wouldn't mind it closing either the main set or encore. Anything would be a better closer than Starlight though...Stockholm, Survival and TaB would be my personal faves.
And Dead Star opening would be epic and is never going to happen.

Okay, so clearly our habit of mocking GL backfired in the most spectacular way. Stop singing it from the barrier, people! He thinks you LIKE it!
I'm glad that even in his own world of rainbows and glitter-covered guitars, he's noticed that we like Sunburn, though. That's one step forward...

Hai PMT, just visiting from the neighboring PCT to share some pics from last night's gig. Enjoy.
His hair is so incredibly fluffy now.
-
I bring pics from last night's gig. I got closer to Chris than I've ever been before, and the only way I can get closer now is to meet him and give him a hug, lol. I was just right of center on the slanted bit of barrier, so when Chris stepped forward to play Liquid State he was just feet away.
That's just some of the many, many pics I took of this gorgeous man.
-
Hai PDT, here's some Dom from last night. I've never been so centrally located on the barrier, so it's nice to be able to shoot pics of Dom without his drumkit getting in the way!

Going to California for gigs is doing wonderful things for this list. I recommend it to any American fans in less favored areas.

And some more
Some pretty epic duckface/cake face action going on last night
Also, he thanked us! He actually talked to the crowd, I was so proud to be part of it.
(Jess, I'm so jealous of your mad photography skills. I never bothered to learn how to take concert pics, I just switch to 'high sensitivity' mode, point and shoot. All I know at this point is intelligent auto = blurry pics, and high sens = white but pretty sharp pics. )

Hai PCT! For my first 2 Muse gigs since August of 2011, I had Chris side seats and then Chris side barrier, so I have plenty of Chris to share
Enjoy
-
You know what the problem is? These people haven't had enough exposure to Chris and his sexiness.
Who could downvote this, I ask you?
-
So happy that Chris is finally on the list! Come on PCT, everyone knows Musers own this poll every year. It's time we did something other than hand it to Matt!
Chris is the sexiest of them all anyway.

Does the beat starting around 1:30 remind anyone else of...

Seriously though, the first six and a half minutes of this song are pure . I'm just not totally sold on the transition from too-short riffage epicness to a very familiar-sounding piano ending.
