  1. How awesome was that??? I did not expect Apocalypse Please in Phoenix, of all places, but I WILL TAKE IT!:D:happy:

My feet are sore, my head hurts, and my spine is all twisted thanks to the super tall guys pushing on my left side the whole time, but all's well with the world tonight. :chuckle: What a show!

  2. Considering that Bliss was played in Houston and CE in Dallas you have a good chance!

I'm used to thinking of Phoenix as the vanilla gig and LA/Vegas/NY/Europe as the fun gigs with rarities, so here's hoping I'm wrong and we get some of the love!

Who's queuing for this? I think I'll just show up early in the afternoon, go outlet shopping, and park in Lot G when it opens and go to the queue then. It's not worth freezing all day if you can't even get a good spot (thanks to the VIP GAs, though tbh I doubt Phoenix would have as many as other places).

  3. Parking wont be an issue, it might be expensive though. I don't remember them charging in the past but they did for Taylor Swift it was about $20 at the venue and I think $10 or $15 at the stadium. But I'm hoping they just charged that much because it was Taylor  maybe they don't do that for smaller concerts.

They definitely jack up parking prices depending on the artist, at least downtown. When I went to see U2 they were charging up to $50 for a spot in the lots just north of US Airways, the ones that normally charge $20 or so. (I ended up parking by the federal courthouse for free, so TAKE THAT )

  4. It's first-come, first-serve. You can go as early as you want and line up outside (usually there's just one door for GA), and people will join in throughout the day. When I went to Staples on the last tour, we were at the door facing the convention center, and that's where we'd run to use the restroom. I showed up around 10 AM and there were maybe 30 people in front of me, all camping out with lawn chairs/blankets/etc. I made it to the barrier, but since they're doing center stage this time, there should be a much longer barrier if you want to be at the "front". They'll turn around to face the other side at some point. ;)

If you don't care about being in the front, you can come just before doors, and move around until you find a good spot on the floor. Muse always come up with stages that look amazing even from the cheap seats. :)

Here's a thread about what to expect from GA

  6. Guiding Light and NSC are fun songs. Revolting is just revolting.

:wtf: How is Guiding Light fun? It's the ultimate gig energy-killer if I ever saw one, and I saw GL a lot on the Resistance tour (because 'Merica!). At least with Revolt you can move around a bit and sing out the cheese, not stand blankly and wait for it to be over. :chuckle:

  7. Totally unrelated. What is that video clip in your sig and why does it seem like an optical illusion? It's messing with me.

:chuckle: It's a tiny clip of Chris playing Hysteria in Seattle (the Resistance Tour gig they streamed on MySpace), looping forever so the headbanging never ends. Just watch the tower behind him and you'll see how short the clip actually is.

Back on topic, the artwork for this song is one of the better ones on Drones imo, albeit a sad one. The one for Reapers doesn't fit at all!

  8. Read it here on NME.com

    Look, we've been spotted!

Pre-‘Absolution’ fans are in for a treat at upcoming shows

As well as live staples ‘Plug In Baby’ and ‘New Born’, Muse busted out second-album odysseys ‘Micro Cuts’ and the inimitable ‘Citizen Erased’, scarcely witnessed since the band’s ‘Origin of Symmetry’ Reading and Leeds sets in 2011. There were also airings of ‘Agitated’ and 2002 non-album single ‘Dead Star’, the spiritual precursor to ‘Drones’, which makes perfect said alongside tracks like ‘The Handler’ and ‘Reaper’. Still no ‘Showbiz’ tunes, mind, but even the fan-forum zealots weren’t quibbling over that omission.

It's adorable that they think heavy old set at Download = heavy old set everywhere, though. :chuckle:

  9. This sounds more biblical and has a lot of despair in it.

After twelve years, it's finally time for something biblical? Is this the end??? :facemelt:

I agree, though. Sounds awesome with the organ, though too many people already dismiss this track as too 'churchy', and organ would only make it churchier. Now I need to go and listen to Megalomania. :D

  10. "I'm escaping from your grip...you will never own me again"

I've had this song in my head all morning, and it's only 9 AM. :facemelt: If The Handler is as beastly live as it has the potential to be, it's going to dethrone Stockholm as my #1 favorite, and SS has been top dog in my book for 9 years. :pope:

Could be the honeymoon period talking, but I think this one will stand the test of time. :D

  11. This is probably my least favourite track at this point. It just sounds like a filler Queen song, only with weaker vocals.

    :awesome: It's a filler Queen

    gunpowder, gelatine

weak vocals with a laser beam

it will fail to blow your mind

    every time

Sorry. Inspiration, you know? I really do like this song.
