I haven't given Jessica Jones a try yet so maybe I'll give it a shot. Haven't seen Luke Cage yet either.

I thought the Japanese live action films were alright, definitely better than average for an anime-to-live-action movie, though that's not saying much and it could have been way better. Ryuk looked really fake. Yeah I hope it's a mix too! the whole anime is super dramatic. I love the sparkles that fly off the chip. Just watched the trailer for the FMA movie. I can't tell too much from the trailer but I agree, it doesn't... look that great...

Yeah it's pretty good so far, but at the rate I'm getting through it's going to take a looong time. I haven't actually seen the miniseries just a few clips online of some of the more well-known scenes. I'm guessing you have?
