Yep that did the trick. It took quite a bit of force to get the pot off (the cloth helped a lot), but it came off. Tightened the nut and now its working perfectly! Thanks for the tips (James too.) Not sure if I got lucky or not, but the ebay deal definitely seems like a pretty good one.

Hey guys, I actually ordered one of those from ebay and it arrived today. The finish looks totally fine. I inspected it pretty carefully and I don't see any issues at all. Maaaaybe a tiny scratch on the back, but its hardly noticeable. I don't see any screws to remove the knob, so I'm not actually sure how to take it off to tighten it? Does it just pull off? I tried pulling a bit but am scared to pull too hard....
