This, Muse won't get bottled even if they play a standard set. Muse aren't hated by metal fans, they just (usually) aren't a fan of them.

Always had a strong connection to these lyrics. Always something I can keep improving on with myself and what not! And also I connect well with:

To punish us and make a fuss."
I mostly know I stand as a agonistic atheist now, but in the past definitely this lyric was wambamo!

The Queen-esque vocal layering in Defector is probably my favorite instance in any Muse song. It sounds almost sinister, even though the song as a whole is uplifting.
I also love the break in the chorus with inciting and society.

Typical Musers... only complaining, not appreciating the great photos
There's not enough Dead Star and heavy stuff that they rarely play anymore and it's too poppy and radio friendly and Matt can't hit those notes anymore and Chris's haircut is too much and Dom's drumming is so bleh and Morgan is the unsung hero of Muse.

Defector - 9/10
Best song on the album for me. In this song, everything about Drones works. It's so straightforward, uplifting and fun. The lyrics are silly, but in this case it actually helps, it's so clearly for the sake of fun and not for the sake of the concept.

Why have they tried to 'rock up' the song so much? There's more shaky cam to make it appear heavy in the Mercy video than, say, the Dead Star video. Cringey.

Wow! Beautifully shot. Love the story going on in it too, reminds me of a movie called Beyond the Black Rainbow. If any of you haven't seen it and are into really abstract mindfuck movies, check it out!

My predictions:
Dom is going to come out wearing his Slipknot mask with a mic, telling people to sit down. They don't listen, so he starts yelling to the point of "SIT THE FUCK DOWN!"
Then they start throwing bottles at him, and he runs off stage.
