Two more days in New Zealand.
-
The one day I am in Auckland near the coast and there's a tsunami warning (though quickly retracted). Figures.
-
-
Leaving for NZ this Sunday! I'll be in Auckland by Tuesday Kiwi time. It'll be so good to be home.
-
FINALLY saw the Naked And Famous tonight! Massive thanks to _Ed_ for pointing out that they were opening for Foals and that Foals was changed to an all-ages show.
My mates and I made a sign for them. Alisa in particular got a good laugh out of it.
She said something along the lines of "thank you Seattle for the warm welcome... and the sign!" and being three from the front or so I shouted back "Hello from Auckland! Welcome to Seattle!"
They didn't play Serenade, unfortunately, but the sign's still alive, even after Foals, but judging by how well they were received I daresay they'll be coming back to the US in due time.
And once again massive thanks to _Ed_ for the notification!

The newspaper I work for put someone else's name on one of my articles today. And it was one of the few articles I've written that I really liked and was proud of. So you could say I'm a bit peeved.
My newspaper keeps publishing my articles with my mug from four years ago that I do not look like anymore, instead of the one I submitted to them at the beginning of last year and have resubmitted twice since. I feel your peevedness.

Not a headline I ever expected to see.
There is no way they'll ever get the Wikileaks 'saga' depicted 'right'.

who are you people??
Homesick Kiwi. Pleased t'meetcha.
-
So the US government is trying to seize my Twitter data just because I'm following Wikileaks. Why do I get the feeling that this is just the beginning?
-
Lord of the Rings was on tv tonight, twas good seeing the homeland again (and Matamata! I have family that live near there).
-
Happy Christmas all!
Well, that was unusual.
This is the first result of a Google search for 'inappropriate Christmas'.
Isn't that OJ Simpson?
-
The one thing I thought was terrible about the movie was the awfully abrupt ending...
The ending made absolutely no sense. They spent the whole movie running away, pointing guns at people, trying to stay safe, and then "oh right let's turn on an amusement park that can be seen and heard from MILES AROUND and get everybody's attention!" Right...

I haven't been on here in a while. Hmmm
News: The Phoenix Foundation were awesome. School is finished and I got Dux now trying to get ready for exams. Scholarship English on Tuesday morn
What was the show like? Besides awesome, obviously?
-
I feel a desperate need to see this TV movie called Sharktopus.
I think all of the above are appropriate responses.
It's soooooo bad but sooooo good.

Qantas' explanation for an engine on one of their planes exploding last week is that they "found oil where oil shouldn't be". Doesn't that just fill you with confidence?
Two innit? Definitely flying Air New Zealand next June either way.
-
Spent all day so far making a new mixtape for the car.
-
I think this song is two and a half minutes of pure awesomeness.
-
Knowing my luck I'll miss them anyways Seems that every time a band comes in from off-continent, events conspire against me. Missed Biffy Clyro, Mew, Karnivool, and Klaxons this year alone.
-
Definitely. The same could be said for McDonald's burger I just saw an ad for - a Mega Mac, with no fewer than FOUR patties.
In other news, it's a beautiful day here today for once. And I'm seeing TNAF tomorrow. All is well with the world. Don't remind me about my thesis, please.
Ooh, do tell us how their show goes! Wish I could have the chance to see them.

The got so fucked over.

Not overly excited by the big names, but there's quite a bit there for me in there. Solid lineup.
Solid about sums it up. Crystal Castles, Black Keys, Rammstein, and The Naked and famous would be so mint.
Oh and Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros! They were at Bumbershoot!

Lovely weather here today! Fuck off, winter! (Sorry Jo and Oren)
I hope winter can take my bronchitis away with it as it fucks off.
I think I've already taken it mate, and winter's a-coming up here.
