    Waahh i didnt know the thread was still alive! hello everyone!! :D :D I finally FINALLY got my hands on the 2nd law woohoo! needs more album art imho. because I like album art ^_^ its like the CD booklet thing is getting thinner and thinner as the years go by :(

     

    Liz I'm open to a muser meet up hehe! But I cant make it on the 3rd nov.. have finals on the 7th nov eeek! My last paper is on the 12th nov so im free after that whee :D

     

    I cant really contribute to the K-pop topic much haha :( I only know a bit about Big Bang, SNSD and 2NE1.. that's about it lol!

    Why are there is many artist going elsewhere in SEA but not Malaysia :(:( Especially the big ones.....

     

     

    Wow, you are there for 3 days but still not enough? Must be really fun then :D

     

    Lol! Well 1 whole day was spent at Universal Studios, and the first and last day were just half days so yeah not much time :( lol. Universal Studios is super fun!!!! akjdfafj;slfjf;alja must go at least once in your life k. haha.

     

    HOW WAS FTP? Review please and thank you! :happy:

     

    Part 2 shouuuld be better because of Lee Pace (who will be playing an American vampire nomad)! His hands, unf. Lol. Story wise though, gah the last few chapters of Breaking Dawn was so frustrating.

     

    FTP was good!! However I did spend almost half the time slowly nudging and easing my way to the front. Sound system could have been better, and setlist could have been longer, but the short 13-song setlist was understandable since they only have one album! Hmm what else what else.

     

    Oh right, like 70% of the crowd were KIDS!!! High school kids. I even saw a pair of 11-12 year-olds. Was quite shocking. I had no idea FTP was appealing to that crowd. There were also a surprising amount of ang mohs in the crowd. ang moh kids. Probably from some international school. As for the band itself, Mark Foster the vocalist was also playing the guitar, keyboard and drums (that I noticed, could be more for all i know!) damn talented can! And in the upbeat songs he kept running back and forth the stage, reminded me a bit of Matt :happy:

     

    And on a more personal experience note.. At one point in the gig I was surrounded by this bunch of tall white rowdy kids, one of the dudes had his shirt off and he was SO STICKY. ALL OVER MY ARM. GAHHH. That is all. LOL.

     

    Eh what Lee pace is in Breaking Dawn?! I didnt know that!! And yeah I know what you mean by the disappointing last few chapters. They hype it up so much and then the 'battle' just.. ends... because of a loophole. Very very anticlimactic. :noey:

    Ooh yeah I'm pretty set on Foos, haven't bought tickets yet though. Anyone coming to watch that? Miele? ;)

     

    Ahh well, Deb, next time then! Everyone should do some shopping there. You can find almost anything in there; great for toiletries, groceries, maybe some electronics, and awesome indian food are outside 'round the corner.

     

    Good thing I'm not a fan of Death Cab, so I can save some money there. Sorry they don't have a date for Msia Deb! .

     

    Oooh yeah I'll definitely check it out the next time I head to singapore... No idea when that's gonna happen though haha. Am pretty broke. but I'm curious as to what i'll find there lol!

     

    And eh what you're heading to the USA? which part? :D

    OMG, there is so many gigs going on in early of the year. Simple Plan on 14 Jan, right after FTP, Avril Lavigne on 18 Feb(arghhh... wanna go!), Dashboard on 22 Feb, Evanescence on 23 Feb, right after Dashboard and the Jessie J on 16 March(I'm not really interested in this) And not to mention, I saw Katy Perry is going to Manila and Indonesia this month. Why didn't she come here or SG :(:( But the Philipines one is quite cheap. About RM 61 only for the cheapest area.

     

    Just 2 more days to go for 13 Jan :D Doesn't feel like the concert is just 2 days time after waiting for it over a month :rolleyes::)

     

    Death cab for cutie is also going to singapore!! and i think manila, or jakarta, i forgot where hahaha. I WISH WISH WISH THEY'D COME HERE :'(

     

    Oh and HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY NUT!!! :D :D :D I didnt manage to go to the indian supermarket at Singapore in the end, didnt have enough time :( there's so much to see in singapore that 3 days cant cover haha!

    Thanks for the birthday wishes guys :D i'm officially 21 now. i was 16 when i joined the board. My, HOW FAR WE HAVE COME!!

     

    and as for FTP, they only have 1 album to 'study' so its not so bad hahaha. and their songs are not bad as well! besides pumped up kicks, call it what you want, and helena beat, i also recommend houdini! :D it has that nice 'beat' to it. but we can always meet at dashboard if some of you dowan to go for FTP also. its cheaper also :D

     

    btw nut, sorry i couldnt contact you while i was in sg! didnt really have time also la, we spent our only full day in universal studios, it was so funnnnn!! :D

    And sadly Dashboard cancelled their gig here :( So Junk says they're looking for someone to replace em.. Hopefully someone good! I doubt I'd go if its Metallica though haha! I only know one song: Enter Sandman. and I'm memang not very into metal so yeah :)

    Debbie, I've not seen Incubus live, and maybe this time if they come to SG, I will go watch.

    I actually think I might give this one a miss! Ticket prices have gone up a lot over the years and now its like.. the same price as sunburst, except its only for one band now. Not very worth it imho, since i've seen them already. and alsoooo uhhh I'm not really digging their new album :\ :( i feel bad for saying that :( maybe it just hasnt grown on me yet :chuckle:

    Hellooo! I'm here when I should be studying for my finals instead haha :p procrastination ftw. not. and I swear thinking about the things I want to do after my finals is the biggest distraction EVAAAR.

     

    Miele, wah I had no idea Javarockin' would be so cheap! Must've been suuuper worth it eh.. and that's weird that Stereophonics didnt speak to the crowd, because when they were here Kelly Jones spoke to us quite a bit actually! He was like.. describing the songs or something, I couldnt really listen because it was noisy and his accent is so thick :LOL:

     

    Liz, oh gaaawd that Lifehouse Medley was so awesome! Must be fantastic to have seen it live.. and ooh what happened that was the highlight of your night? Now I'm intrigued... :eyebrows: I cant stop clicking on other medleys Lifehouse did btw. They did one with Simon too!! I almost died. Simon is one of my favourite ones haha. What songs would you have requested for? :D

    As for Paramore.. I unfortunately only got the cheapest tickets, so it sorta was like Muse in BNO again, where we were on the barriers on the balcony haha. I had such a blast! Their music is super upbeat, i love it, and Hayley is sooo adorable I'm starting to have a girl-crush on her :ninja:. She always does this little 'jig' when she sings, and she's a wicked head-banger too haha. She bantered a lot as well, and during the last song Misery Business she actually brought a dude up on stage to sing with her!! luckyyyy guy. He shamelessly asked her for a photo right there on stage haha. I'd do the same too if I were him and wasnt already peeing in my pants :p

    Nut, thanks a lot for that link! I watched the video.. and was immediately saddened :( I loved the cinematography though. Using stop-motion to capture the sadness :( its really a very very sad video. I'm glad muse decided to take part in spreading awareness <3 <3

     

    Mielee! aww man so excited for you :D is your fiancée a muse fan as well? perhaps walk down the aisle/have your first dance with Unintended in the background? :happy:

    Helloo! Happy Puasa people! and for us living/working/studying in Selangor, happy 3-day-long weekend! :D

     

    Did the meetup happen today? :unsure: I've been a bit MIA from the boards lately :( Been really busy with lotsa work. Engineering is touuuuugghhhhh.

     

    On another note, Paramore are apparently coming to KL on the 19th october! EXCITES! :D Anyone else planning to go?

     

    Eee. I love Miyazaki's Howl's Moving Castle. Of course, there is a hidden agenda as to why I love it too lol. Cookie for anyone who knows why ;)

    I havent actually seen Howl's Moving Castle yet actually. The only Miyazaki movie I've seen was Spirited Away and that No Face guy who ate stuff scared the crap out of me :'(

    HD is just too good to skip, seriously. It's pretty unreal to look at the whole stage and the band in crisp quality. 10x better than HAARP which I thought was poorly compressed :( And I noticed Dom got lazy with his bass drum kicks for KOC... :LOL:cheater.

     

    Oh talking about resorts and the oh oh ocean! Just found out from a friend: 4 days doing your diving course at some awesome power super duper beach in the Philippines costs about S$600. That's inclusive of the accommodation too. Really a steal, man. Or do you guys know if Malaysia has cheaper alternatives?

     

    Joelyn I know what you mean about the NME mag. But the pictures are pretty good right! I've not seen most of it so I took my time to study them (purely for visual research).

    EH? wait, is this their latest Glastonbury set? Or their old 2004 set, remastered into HD version? Because when you mentioned KOC I got a bit confused :eek:

     

    And for diving.. you mean scuba diving? I know there's this island called Pulau Sipadan in umm... Sabah or Sarawak, I forgot which, but its on East Malaysia, that is like for proper scuba diving. Its also pretty near Phillipines, so apparently there have been cases involving filipino pirates? dont know if my friend was pulling my leg when he mentioned that though, but yeah point is, the only island in malaysia that i know of that is known for scuba diving is at Pulau Sipadan :) Pulau Redang also has scuba diving too but i dont know what their standard is like! But you'll definitely see some turtles around :D its a rare occurence to see them whilst snorkelling but you can definitely see them while scuba diving i'm sure. I dont know about the prices sorry :(

    Oh is anyone else mentally unsound to download the Glasto set in HD? I can't wait for it (8gb) to finish.:D

    regarding the germany (esp neuer) part: oh tqtq.. i do love him. tq again :p but im very nervous abt tonight. i think im gonna watch d match thru my fingers. dammit why la muller kena yellow card last match :(

     

    regarding redang: i was checking out packages. i donno why they all look so expensive. so now maybe i can check out specific resorts n hopefully get cheaper prices. hee berangan je actually. but that wont hurt right? :p

     

    aww sorry for germany's loss :( looks like mueller's absense really affected the game. But now for the finals its Spain vs Holland and I seriously dont know who to support!! :'(

     

    I heard Pelangi (the place i stayed at) got cheaper, like RM320 for triple room, but i wouldnt recommend staying there la. Your room is like literally just a place to sleep in. No TV, kettle fridge or anything, and the bathroom is a bit old. But then again you'll be spending most of your time out and about anyway :D and the service is good! But now its during their peak season.. so memang prices go up a lot.
