  1. How did you come up with an idea to record the acapella song "Drones", what inspired you to create such a song? :musesign:

And what significance you give to Palestrina's role in the history of music?

In general, tell us more about this song. We REALLY want to know what meaning it has on the album and to you: why is it at the end? why is it played twice at gigs?

  2. Right now, we're leaning towards booking a flight into Baltimore and having her take the rail in. It drops off right near the venue. I wish I could go with her but money's too tight because of the other 6 shows we did. So, I want to make sure all her ducks are in a row before she leaves. She purchased a VIP ticket for this one so she wouldn't have to worry about queuing up.

if she is flying into Baltimore, I am not sure the Baltimore airport is near a rail station, but rail goes to Union Station and there she will need to switch to red line metro to Chinatown

try to find flights to Reagan National, that is the easiest.

  3. Quick question: If everything is being controlled, why would Muse be popular since they sing about this stuff? Why wouldn't we be programmed with an aversion to anything that has the "truth." Why is "1984" in schools? How in the hell did Muse win a mainstream award (Grammys) for the album with MK Ultra?

I know Matt laughs about the conspiracy theories, but when you talk to him about them, he gets really serious and agitated.

I talked to him and we discussed this book on history of brainwashing: The Science Of Thought Control by Kathleen Taylor. He said he is fascinated by it and that he himself can learn from it and use the techniques in his music career and business.

He also mentioned it in this article:

"What was the last book you read, and what did you think of it?

Matt: The last book I read was called Brainwashing: The Science Of Thought Control by Kathleen Taylor. It's about the history of brainwashing, which has only really been around since the Chinese started doing it with prisoners of war in WWI, I think. I learned how to brainwash people, which is quite useful if you want to use it, but you have to use quite extreme methods."

  4. Found this link on Ticketmaster and stage setup. It looks like a regular setup, not 360. I might go to Philly instead if that is the case.

Now I am confused about Fan Club VIP presale.

  5. The song on now sounds like a drunk cover of madness with different vocals thrown over it

Yes, when I heard it live it was a cross between Starlight and Glorious

when I heard the recent leak I thought it reminded me of Follow me and Starlight

Now on the radio, you are right, it's like a version of Madness

  6.

As for the other replies, I hope new muse fans or younger people will have something more to reply than just one line, or mad cat photos, or passive-agressive gif. Your replies remind me of muselive's worst poster I've witnessed in my life: Pib.

What is lacking on messageboards and the world in general: the passion. Write with your guts. Stop acting in masses, like you belong to a football team. I miss reading people's opinion, you're all writing the same stuff, acting like clones. I prefer acting like a clown. Write with your brain, not with the general consensus.

    I missed you.

  7. He hadn't done it as often for quite some time. It was back in force during T2L, and any time a guitar (or he) fucked up during a song.

Yes, exactly. I recall him saying nowadays he only does it when something is malfunctioning or does not go according to a plan. That is why I was surprised he did it at Webster.
