I still like it. I agree with the sentiment that it's sort of a better version of Psycho. It is short, and to the point.

I really hope this track marks the way Muse is going to follow in the future. With Elvira the vampire and the monsters of the night.
Life is a fucker and we need more angst in Muse lyrics, in T2L the Universe was frozen into the Eternal Darkness and in Drones the Earth was destroyed in a nuclear war were only one guy and his girlfriend survive.
Some pussies would think that is angst enough, but i, and probably the real people out there, want the lyrics one step further. We are tired of just death and angst, we want Undead Angst.
It'll be a great theme for the next album. What are the zombies THINKING after the war? What are they actually FEELING while trying to eat the brains of the survivors? Are they going to live forever in a cozy comunity till the Big Freeze, or there are evil zombies trying to enslave them?
This is what the real fans want, guys.
I know this is a joke... But now I really want an album/song about the undead from Muse. Some terrible lyrics that could result from that: "You've got brains and limbs, babe, now I am zombified"

I fucking love it. It's a fun track with a heavy groove and holy shit I really like rockabilly and The Cramps so this is perfect.

How it should be called? Stardick? Dick of Light, maybe? Black dicks and Revelations?
Map of the Dick

I thought he was saying 'yeah', but now all I can picture is Matt screaming dick in his Supremacy epic mode.

I've listened to it a few times and it still literally sounds like Starlight to me (with different vocals). I know Muse releasing a new song that sounds like an existing song isn't exactly unheard of, but I can't see this being any more than a novelty Halloween-themed performance of Starlight. (maybe a couple other songs too)
Just trying to keep my expectations low here
Join me in the hype chamber, where we are even excited about novelty Halloween songs.

It's just now hitting me this means a new song. Holy shit, there's a new Muse song tomorrow. I'm ready to love it then hate it then love it again.

Screamo Elvis confirmed.

The terrible Elvis costume is only making me more hyped. EMBRACE THE CHEESE
-
I am a pleb. Who is Elvira? If it leads to a new Muse song, no matter how cheesy, I will be hyped.
-
I may be biased because a Drones show was the first live experience I had with Muse, but it's a solid album. I kind of view it as a reset. They proved they can still make a solid album in the same vein of their older stuff, and can now use that as a jumping off point. That's my hope, at least.

BREAKING: The leaked, incredibly subtle song Muse has written about Trump:
-
Speaking of batshit versions:
Dat outro tho...
While I'm here, here's Feeling Good with a snippet of You Fucking Motherfucker.
-
Muse's political songs are usually better if they're broader. Although, Trump is such an overblown character that maybe they could do something interesting.

My friend has suggested that it may be a single for the new Spiderman movie, which ties in well with Tom's tweet about the spider being the perfect extra.
Edit: I love it when something happens here, no matter how small, and seeing the lurkers multiply.
Muse covering the Spiderman theme would be an insane trip https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SUtziaZlDeE

If they release a new single, my heart will explode. I'm not getting my hopes up for another US tour this year, so I hope there's new music involved somehow.

Con-Science gives me chills. It's ridiculous this didn't make an album.

The melodic bass runs sound great in the piano section which starts at around 7 minutes in.

Dead Inside 7/10
Psycho 5/10 (Could have been good if it was about two minutes shorter)
Mercy 7/10
Reapers 9/10
The Handler 10/10
Defector 7/10
Revolt 6/10
Aftermath 8/10 (Biggest grower for me)
The Globalist 9.5/10
Drones 4/10

Just the Boston gig last winter, so not much.
Map of the Problematique was cool. I also think The Globalist is going to be something people will miss after they stop playing it.

Wish they whipped that cover out more often (or...ever). Looks like it'd be a reet romp.
Nothing will ever beat this though:

If only for the ridiculous screams
Also, a bit off topic, but is Zepp coming out completely dead?

According to NME, Muse's next album is going to be an acoustic hip-hop album.

I can't find the video where they supposedly talk about hip-hop. I don't think it exists.
