Fillip is one of my favourite songs from Showbiz. Then again, Starlight is one of my favourite Muse songs so that shouldn't be surprising.
-
That must suck for the fans who planned on seeing them live.
(And of course the band member/s who's sick)
-
Unnatural Selection is one of the best songs on TR.
-
I only recently discovered the Dead Star - In Your World EP. Great songs (and cover).
-
I'm prepared to be judged.
I'm undecided on the order but my ideal setlist would consist of:
- Sunburn
- Muscle Museum
- Unintended
- Space Dementia
- Plug In Baby
- Citizen Erased
- Feeling Good
- Time Is Running Out
- Stockholm Syndrome
- Hysteria
- Blackout
- Starlight
- Supermassive Black Hole
- Soldier's Poem
- Knights of Cydonia
- Uprising
- Resistance
- MK Ultra
- I Belong To You
- Neutron Star Collision
- Supremacy
- Madness
- Panic Station
- Follow Me
- Big Freeze
- Sunburn
-
It's still good live, but they very well could play another song instead, and it has no place in the setlists of the anniversary tour.

Really like the white balance on your camera Mizutsu, or if it has been post-processed then good job on that!
These shots has been done to death but here goes..
Those are really good photos!

It's not a pointless thread, their music means something different to all of us.
All I know is that they make great music, and I can relate to and supoprt so many of the themes in their songs.
-
Isolated System is much more suspenseful. If they were to always open with Unsustainable it's like they're introducing the audience to a dubstep concert or something like that.
-
Problem is that they specifically said they recorded it for a soon-ish release.
Oh okay I didn't know that. Well it's still possible, it isn't Christmas just yet.
-
If that's the only Christmas present, I'm glad I didn't have high hopes for a professional recording of the Zepp gig.
-
what makes it worse is that my friend, who I brought along because I had a spare ticket and she was kind enough to wait in line all day with me, got to touch Matt. She knows none of their songs except SMBH.
why, person beside me, WHY?!?!
I can relate to this, my friend who hardly knows their music arrived later than us managed to get into the moshpit earlier than us and although we were together throughout the show she got a better view and was super close to Matt.
Oh well, these things happen.
-
I have some footage from the Sydney show, would you like me to send them to you somehow?
-
In a film we all love to hate.
-
Oh, dude, I'm pretty sure I was right next to you at the start of the show, if you were the one wearing that shirt! Sorry if I was one of the ones who pushed you back, I got a bit energetic during KoC. And holy fuck it stunk like weed, haha.
No it's fine, you can never expect to stay in one spot in a mosh pit! Everybody went crazy during that song, it was so good to be a part of it. I think Plug In Baby had the same reception.
-
Makes sense. I think I remarked that I love the shirt when you guys came around to sign the flag.
Yes I remember you did! Thanks for passing the flag around, do you know where it ended up? Did the guys see it?
-
-Sunburn
-Muscle Museum
-Showbiz
-Hyper Music
-Sing For Absolution
-Stockholm Syndrome
-Resistance
-
I have no doubt that Supremacy and Panic Station will continue to be performed. I can see Madness, Survival, and/or Follow Me being played every once in a while. I don't think the other songs have much of a chance.
-
Were you the guy in the I <3 Moos shirt?? If you were, I saw you when I went to get merch or something and laughed so hard at your shirt
Yes that was me! I'm glad you thought it was funny, a lot of the fans lining up thought I had spelt it wrong by accident. I was getting stares throughout the whole day.
-

For real?
Sadly yes, I guess he was really in the moment or something.
Where on earth where you in the crowd? sounds like you were around a bunch of weird people lolIf there were rows in the mosh pit I was second row from the end of the catwalk. I've realised the more "extreme" fans usually make their way through to the front.
-
One very stoned/drunk guy was moshing quite aggressively near me. I have quite a few bruises now
One guy was jacking off near my friend. Muse fans are an interesting bunch.
-
Showbiz is awesome! One of their best tracks ever. Unintended is decent/good, imo.
I thought I edited my post fast enough but I guess not.
I think it shows a different side of Muse, a much more relaxed side. It's nice to hear.

I was underwhelmed and sort of frustrated when I heard the song for the first time, but after several hours passing and then revisiting it, I now think it's a pretty decent song. I really enjoy the excess of expletives, and while the lyrics are tilting to a simplistic side, I don't think I could've imagined deeply metaphorical or introspective lyrics for a song with an incredibly groovy melody and riff.
