If there is a 10 year commemoration thing for BH&R, I hope that's the last anniversary thing they do. Otherwise fast forward the clocks a few years and we'll end up with something like
THE YEAR 2025.
GOVERNMENT DRONES FILL THE SKY.
FREEDOM HAS BEEN BANISHED.
COME AND SEE A 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION OF MUSE'S "DRONES"!
TICKETS ON SALE NOW

I hate to nitpick but there were actually two gigs this era where Starlight wasn't played.
The revolution is starting
(I thought it was immortal!)

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
This. Sad but true. Having said that I don't see why the band couldn't compromise money for enjoyment just a little bit and add at least a handful more club shows to their next tour, in between arena gigs. Unless they really do enjoy playing Starlight over 100 times in a row...

What about during The Globalist live when Matt is playing slide guitar but there is another guitar in the background??
-
Off topic but this is from the other nights gig
Around 3:15, Matt pulls his hand up to his mouth but the notes keep playing, cracking skills!..
Not this again!
-
umm
What's not to love about some riffage and Matt wearing hand puppets and stuff?(?????)
(EDIT - I realise that the ummm was about the fact that Dracula Mountain is a D&B jam - I was just under the impression from the pro-shot recording that there was a guitar in there too but if not then fair enough)
And honestly, I know this isn't gonna be a popular opinion but I really don't think the bass jams pack that much punch. I haven't come out of any Muse gig I've been to and heard people go "god that drum and bass thing they did halfway through the set was great", and for good reason. They get boring quite quickly as well - the current jam overstays its welcome by a good minute at least. Minimum would be great, you'd get the added value of seeing Matt fucking around like he did during Liquid State on the T2L tour or during this video (which is great):

If they have to drop anything I'd much rather it were one of IS, Prelude, Interlude, D&B jam or Man with a Harmonica than a proper song (although IS is just about justified by its visuals). Also the D&B jams shouldn't be a thing at all, they should play Minimum or Earl's Court 2004 Dracula Mountain if they want to give Matt's voice a break for a song.

21 guests atm? What do any of you have to say about all this?
-
Micro Cuts will get another rogue outing after JFK
-
Things are gonna get so tasty on here when those Bercy setlists start flying in
-
Whatever happened to Defector...
-
Suppose it'd be better than Dom introducing it.
"This next one's called Madness!"
*Dead Star starts*
So long as it's not the other way round I'd be fine with that
-
Fuck off no, but seriously.
A couple drone malfunctions, one smashed into the stage and needed to be carried away. Another hit the crowd.
The dildrone was fucked. It came out immediately looking like an angry giant wobbly black dick. The side missiles either fell or got pulled off and drifted up to the ceiling of the arena. Have fun getting those back.
There is a comical, excessive amount of drones confetti being used for the climax of the show.
What an absolute mess, it sounds like Spinal Tap
-
Calling it now that Matt dedicates Starlight to David Bowie at tomorrow's gig

Best post-2004 Fury?
Possible competition from this?
[YT]
[/YT]Going back to SS, although I despise both outros here the performance of the song itself is pretty epic

lvc? Where can I find this proshot?
The video was on YT but taken down - proshot audio here though (starts around 19m 35s): [YT]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=osdyRD5zSiU[/YT]

I'll definitely check my e-mail, but... Tell me it is the Agitated performance where Matt does that sort of "pee urgency" (I don't know how to call it) dance, that would be hilarious!
It's not Think that was Exeter? It's also not the performance where he hits that extraordinary high note. Of all the versions on the tour, they pick the unmemorable one...
It's quite a good video imho though. The performance itself is ok.
-
I love the guitar work in the verses in those DS performances, it sounds so scratchy and ominous.
-
What annoys me about this tour is that I do like at least 80% of Muse's output over the last 21 years, it's just they seem to be drawing heavily on the 20% I dislike so far
-
They should add New Born as an extra song in their sets. It's a pacy rock song with a huge riff that most people except the complete casuals will know, and it's fairly easy for Matt to sing. It's sounded massive whenever they've played it so far this year as well.
-
Can anyone share the best performance of The Handler to date?
or
-
I love Chris' backing vocals, I think they match well with Matt's voice and definitely bring something extra to the live performances of the band. I like it when you can hear him well, like on Stockholm Syndrome or Madness for example.
Hate to say it but I disagree with you completely Chris' backing vocals in the Stockholm Syndrome live choruses really really don't work, especially because they're so loud
Which Muse song have you recently discovered or rediscovered the awesomeness of?

Amazingly, Psycho. Just listened to it for the first time in ages with good headphones. Those guitars. Those distorted vocals. Nice.
