I thought the pre-sale and then 9am general sale were too expensive and thought to check back later.

Oh boy how wrong was I 😰

Anyone know if Tixr has tickets under £100??

But please, how could you not have known it would be mayhem. My friend tried for London and could not get through even as he had the special code for 08 Am. He was just not prepared enough.  And then the tickets for Manchester were also waisted. If you want Muse tickets, then organise yourself. I took the whole morning off from work. Had all my accounts on Ticketmaster and Tixr active. Pumped up my creditcard. Still I was maybe lucky. But if its Muse.... and you want a standing ticket at face value, then you really have to be prepared.  My ticket for Dublin was 83 euro plus fees 90 or so.  Tip, keep on checking for availability. Good luck.

What a list! 👏 congrats on the ticket in Dublin, maybe they‘ll play more deepcuts then, or at least fan faves like Citizen erased, or Stockholme Syndrom 🤞 some are speculating with special shows because of Absolution turning 20, but I don‘t have high hopes.

Claudia, I will bring my Muse flag with me and you know, Absolution is my favourite. but hey I'll be happy if they play some gem over there. Must be.

I got my code last night but forgot there would be a waiting room. When I logged on at 9am there were more than 2000 people ahead of me.  I was so afraid of not getting tickets I went to Ticketmaster and bought two platinum tickets. £555. I expect the seats to be gold-plated and the show to be the best ever, maybe get to snog the band.

Oh my! I'd dream of that snogging hahaha!

When I got into the waiting room about 8:50, at 9 I was transferred into the queue with about 1600 before me, so I had not my hopes up very high. But by 9:08 it was all done with standing tickets at face value. Went very smoothly for a change.

Will this be the fifth time they've visited The O2 on an album tour?

Will be the fourth tour I've seen them there and pretty sure they played there at least one other tour between its opening in 2007 and the 2nd Law tour in 2012.

Can't be many bands to have played more nights at that venue, well in to double figures in terms of total dates played there.

    14 and 15 september 2019 also 12 and 13 november 2009, 26 and 27 oktober 2012 and maybe more - source MuseWiki

  5. Have been to so many, it's not easy to choose. In 2002 I saw them for the first time on Pinkpop, but I don't remember much of it (ahum festivalvibe...) and was not going there especially for Muse, but after that I really started following their music.  Only in the last 10 years I have been able to go to as much gigs as I (and my finances) can afford. It's quite an expensive hobby to have.... And I can write a book about all the adventures and fellow Musers I encounter when I'm going to a Muse gig.

    So I made a selection.

Don't know if there is a 'worst". Maybe the worst was June 4 2013 in the Amsterdam Arena. But that was due to the terrible acoustic in this venue, and not because of Muse. Also the roof of the venue had to be closed, so a lot of the fireworks could not be done. But I was still blown away by Unintended and a beautiful Sunburn on the piano and lost my voice for about 3 days. I'm so happy they chose the Ziggo Dome for their future gigs in Amsterdam.

Also one to remember March 7 2016 in the Ziggo Dome Amsterdam. The Drones Tour. For the first time I heard Citizen Erased live, and I really cried. That week I went to Cologne at  March 6, Amsterdam at 7 and 9, but that concert on Monday 7 was the best of the three of them.  That evening I also met one of my (now) best friends, and since then we often go to Muse concerts together.

Very special one was June 27 2019 in the Goffertpark Nijmegen. Went there with my two sons (then 15 and 13 years old). They said to me afterwards: "we don't like their music when you play it at home, but live they are really good." Especially KOC made a big impression on them.

Also one to remember 15 September 2019 at the O2 London. Just a few weeks before that I randomly checked if there were still tickets available, and to my surprise there was a standing ticket. Just for me, it felt like. That evening I managed to get on barrier, and well that was amazing. Filmed Stockholm Syndrome from up close. Buzzing. It was my last Muse gig before Covid came.

But the gigs in small venues are really special. As was December 3 2018 at the RAH in London. As they tried out a lot of the Simulation songs, but we also sang Happy birthday to Chris, and oh my God: Showbiz and the metal medley. In such a venue, wow that really was amazing, felt so privileged to have been there.

Let's not forget May 9 2022 at the Apollo Hammersmith. I had broken my arm just weeks before, and it was still in a cast, but I just had to go as I also felt so lucky to have gotten a ticket for that show.  On standing level, I did not want to go in the pit because of my arm, but still had a blast. And it was so hot in there. Oh the excitement seeing Muse after 2,5 years, with no Covid restrictions and new WOTP material. And then also The Gallery and setlist was just great. Think this gig is my number 1 up to date.

Latest I have to highlight was May 27 2023 at the Home Park in Plymouth. Show was incredible again, but no gems were played as expected. But for me being at a concert at their "Home Ground" (well nearly), made it extra special, and of course I've been to the mural in Teignmouth a day later. Made a sort of holiday in Devon from it. Not bad for a fan coming from the Netherlands.

Next autumn the journey continues as I'm going to Dublin on September 27 2023. Who knows what they will bring then.

    1. Shepherd's Bush Empire, 19th August 2017. Still can't believe this was only my second Muse gig. So much has been written about this one but it really was one of the best gigs and nights of my life, and it being when I lived down the road from the venue was just perfect. One of their best shows ever, one of their best setlists ever, one of the best crowds ever. Even just hearing Muscle Museum today takes me back to screaming it at the top of my lungs with Matt and the gang that night :)

Oh yes, I wish I had been there, but sadly missed out on tickets. Would easily have been my number 1 also!

  7. Got the pre-sale code around 00:00 AM on July 5, hahaha! But had no worries and bagged standing tickets for Dublin, excited to go!!! Price was also very reasonable, about 90 euro (83+fee). But stay and transport will cost me though 😬.

so in 4 weeks it will be Amsterdam, Berlin, Paris, maybe something in Italy and something in Skandinavia?

107 GBP for a standing ticket in the o2 is pretty damn expensive

Hope so much they will also announce Amsterdam Ziggo Dome for next fall... Otherwise I will be tempted to go to the UK again.

Just checked price for my standing ticket for the O2 in sept 2019: 75 GBP

Toch altijd gezellig he?

Lijkt me ook sterk hoor.

At long long last... I can finally share my very exciting personal news that at long long long last, I will finally get to see Muse live! My dad and I have been big fans since The 2nd Law came out, and have been aching to see them live nearly as long, but every tour between then and now there's been some reason why we couldn't go. Not this time. We've got fantastic seats to see them in Chicago as they open the North American leg of their tour. I can hardly believe it's true... They can play anything they want, I don't care. Guiding Light, Save Me, Dig Down, Drones, Aftermath, Sober! ... anything. I will be happy.

They will play the usual and in the US probably no rarities. But hey, with your dad, that is awesome. Im hoping to go with my son next summer...... Oh yes waiting for Knights.

For what release? I was referring to that guy who was hyping up his cover of MOTP but came up with a bunch of excuses and never posted it.

I only saw the cover and video by chance, and well OK, I will not ever give a response again on this topic. I feel very humiliated in public for nothing. Thank you.

And I'm sure we'll be waiting another 15 years for him to upload the cover he was hyping up.

Trying something a bit different here... similar to how the original setup was described. No synths though.

Also, Bs blocked and deleted me on Facebook ages ago.

     I don't blame him.

So hey, dont steal our personal chat would you. It's a very emotional song, not played live a lot after 2015 or so.

    Mission accomplished 😉.

Echt he Doos, dat is toch wat. Nu mijn andere zoon nog, hahaha! Nou, we gaan elkaar hopelijk zien in Den Haag.

BLISS.
