Very cool and visually stunning. I feel like this might be something you have to be British to fully appreciate.
-
Maybe they have a life and don't spend all of their time on the board. I know, it's scary but these people do actually exist.
I don't believe you.
So many great photos .

Showbiz-opener
Glorious
Assassin
Big Freeze
City of Delusion
Muscle Museum
Hyper Chondriac Music

Haters . Madness is a great song.
-
Madness is better than Unintended, Screenager, Blackout, Starlight, Invincible and Soldier's Poem
(and many others)
TIRO
Supremacy
Bliss-studio version
Unnatural Selection

Interlude and Prelude I would count as separate 'songs' although they're not really proper songs as they don't contain any singing... but Intro may as well have just been a part of AP on the album.
So is Isolated System not a proper song?
If the band consider Prelude and Interlude to be separate entities from the songs they precede, then I think it's fair game to put them on lists like this one.

I could see Survival replace/alternate with KoC on the next album tour.
Supremacy is my least favorite opener of the three I've seen, the other two being Uprising and MK Ultra.

Yeah my life was actually a lot better before I looked up the lyrics and discovered he's saying "Fuse Helium-3"
What did you think the lyrics were?

On a different note, I think Mr. Bellamy underrates his abilities as a lyricist.
Probably, but humility is an admirable trait.

I don't think they can possibly dislike Showbiz. It's not really different from the OoS stuff
I don't dislike Showbiz, but I always felt there was a pretty big leap from that to OoS, hence why so many people on here think it's their best album.
There are a few really, really good songs on there that have aged well, like Sunburn, Unintended, and the title track, but others, like Sober, Overdue, and Filip, are pretty angsty, which is fine. But it would be weird to see them go from "Yes, I'm gonna WIIIIIINNNN!" to "Royal Canadian blended" live.

I approve of the multiple uses of the word 'geezer'. It's an underutilized word.
Pyramids being power sources is a theory I've heard on Ancient Aliens. Granted some of the things on that show are ridiculous, other make you think, 'hmm, it's possible'.

Imagine what the reward for 1,000,000 musos deposited might be..

It's funny they're billed after Katy Perry and someone named J Cole. I don't know who that is...
-
That was brilliant. And matt with the funny sounds on the guitar later on. Sounds much better actually
I agree!
I liked that they included a fair amount of footage of the audience experiencing it themselves. It gave it more of an inclusive feel. And whoever had the cardboard box made up like Charles on their head is brilliant.

Apostrophes don't make nouns plural.
MK Ultra
Assassin
Hoodoo
Take A Bow
Apocalypse Please
Is it wrong that the grammatical error in the title is pissing me off?No.

This thread should be named "songs that'll never return".
Pessimism

Recess keeps building and you're expecting something huge at the end, but it never comes.
That's what she said.
I didn't like Bliss until I watched live performances of it. Now it's one of my favorites.
-
Meh. I never much cared for them. What I've heard kind of all blends together. *shrug*

OoS > Interpol's discography
Overdue>Interpol's discography

Using Ronald McDonald as an avatar is a good indicator of not giving a shit what other people think.

How is he not showing off his vocals in Soaked? It's like
"...when you've HAAAAAD ENOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOUGH
SEAR-CHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEENG FOR LOOOOOO-OOOOOOOOVE".
When I heard that I was like "yep, I'm done here. Fuck you, Adam".
Thank you.

Muse's version is more emotive, while Lambert's rendition seems to be more about showing off his vocal chops. With a few exceptions, covers are generally not as good as the originals.

No one beyond the age of 16 thinks they're cool for smoking

I'm most impressed that he beat Morpheus.
Alex James from Blur was on, and he's not even the frontman. IIRC, he was promoting Blur's show at Hyde Park last year.
