  1. I recently saw an interview with Taylor Swift on Apple Music where she and Zane Lowe talked a lot about how she keeps her tour interesting for her fans. I don't even know how I ended up watching that interview and I'm not familiar with her music or career, but I really liked what she was saying there. She said a lot of her fans already know most of the regular setlist, have seen what the production is like online... and that she still wants to surprise them. I don't remember what exactly she did to keep her shows fresh for the die hard fans, but I was thinking "damn Matt, a scripted show and a heavy production isn't an excuse anymore." :D

PS: I know most of what she said came probably straight from her label/manager/whatever + there's a difference between singing some lines of pop songs and what Muse does onstage + so many other reasons why we can't compare both artists, but I just wanted to share this.

For those interested: link to the interview.

  2. They've just confirmed they're doing a fourth show in Brussels.

So that's 2 shows for those on the waiting list and only 1 show with .mu pre sale. I hope this isn't going to affect the crowd. Imagine the 3rd and 4th show getting a superior setlist compared to the first two.

  3. I also did not find this ING priority access option? it seems to be exclusively for the tickets bought on the regular sale? About an hour ago I saw this ING info on ticketmaster, then it changed to the free Drones album info.. Did anyone see the option?

Yup, found it on the regular sale page but not fan pre-sale. That's a bit sad... I'm against this kind of options but IF they offer it, I'm taking advantage of it (yes I know, hypocrite).

  4. 2nd time big sale with Ticketmaster Belgium for me, 2nd time problems. They charged us for 8 tickets instead of 4 with AC/DC last time. Took us months to get the money back.

EDIT: Hell, it's even easier to buy tickets for freaking Tomorrowland through Paylogic than what I've experienced with Ticketmaster so far...

  5. What makes you say they can't bring the 360 stage? I've never been to Paleis 12 so I have no idea what it is like. I wonder why they didn't go for Antwerp (Sportpaleis) again.

Capacity-wise, it's similar to what Sportpaleis used to be: 18.000. I think Sportpaleis expanded and has a 20.000 capacity, depending on the stage set-up. So with this production they could sell more tickets for Sportpaleis, but normal when bands use normal stages (with seats behind the stage unused) the capacity should be similar. Paleis 12 has a different setup, it's a rectangular space with seats in the back. Not the usual arena setup Sportpaleis has.

So yes, it's a bit weird because circular seating around the stage would be a better choice for this production. But the seating at Paleis 12 can be modified, starting at less than 2500 seats. Meaning there could be a lot of standing tickets, depending on the setup. We'll see!

  6. Rumor has it Muse will be doing a show at AB (Ancienne Belgique) in Brussels for Music for Life. Capacity is 2000 so this could be interesting. Muse or not, it's announced tomorrow. A big band will choose a charity and perform at AB. They already had

perform as a support act at their gig in Antwerp in 2012 as well.

If this is true and if they consider this as a special gig, we Belgians are officially lucky after what we got at Rock Werchter. Please keep in mind my source is a friend of a friend who knows someone involved. Or something similar. I'll post an update if it's Muse!

EDIT: So they are playing at AB, but already September 16th. How to get tickets? Listen to Studio Brussels and text "Muse" to 4342 each time they play one of their songs. They're giving away 20 tickets / song during the next week so that's about 14 times a day. The text will cost you €1 and you'll support Artsen zonder Grenzen, a international aid organization. 7. Wanted to get Sunday tickets but they're sold-out... :(

Weekend passes aren't really expensive compared to what other festivals ask for a similar line-up, but accommodation and flights aren't that cheap. If Saturday was more interesting and if Tame Impala didn't clash with Muse I'd probably buy tickets though.

  8. About the Foo Fighters replacement: Faith No More replaces them on Thursday. Royal Blood plays twice (on Thursday and Saturday) and The Chemical Brothers' set time will be extended, because FNM will play a 1h15min set instead of the + 2h set FF would play.

Well, Muse isn't playing twice as expected. Journalism in 2015...

  9. Meh, I'd rather have a smaller but decent act in one of the tents (and Elbow on Florence's slot) than Kiss. Would be a weird replacement. Not the kind of act Werchter crowd would enjoy imo (only the older part of the crowd in general probably). They were a good headliner for Graspop, but having them next week too would be a bit weird.
