lol, I just replied on FB. It's just that the whole thing is iffy. Not like I'm planning on perishing in a plane crash or anything! I didn't exactly get hubby to agree whole-heartedly, but he was fairly agreeable, which was surprising. The way we left it was that I'd go ahead and get a ticket and if the trip didn't work out, I could sell it. So I got my ticket! I haven't mentioned that fact to him. He forgets things like that. But he knows when I say I'm gonna do something, I do it. I feel like once you add up all the things that will go into this trip (2 plane tix, rental car, dog kennel, etc...) it adds up to a lot. He's gonna realize it's ridiculous to go to this much trouble/expense for one concert. Of course he's not a fan, so he doesn't understand.
I presented it as a mini-vaca and tried to make it sound fun, so I need to come up with some fun stuff to do. This is really the only time we can get away because my parents (who are babysitting) will be out of town the last half of October, and hubby can't get off work any time in November. So that and the fact that I want to see Nicole and Natalia is why I picked MN. He would've preferred Denver, but I told him I don't know anyone going to that show and that's half the fun. The CA gigs are during birthday week (mine and daughter's) so that'd be a pain.
Anyway, I'm just not sure of anything. The other idea I have is to get him to just take a week off and let me go by myself. It would be cheaper (and I could stay with Nicole), and he would just have to take care of Clara and not work at his job. She's be in school all day anyway, so he'd have time to relax. His job is weird in that they want employees to take of entire week blocks off at a time, rather than a day here and there. (He's in wine sales). It's a weird system if you ask me. He gets three weeks, so it's doable. I haven't mentioned this scenario to him yet. I'm sure he hasn't given it another thought since the initial conversation.
Sorry that was a freakin' novel! Obviously I've been thinking about it alot....
