Does anyone have a link to the Pro-shot of this broadcast from the Big Weekend yet?
-
Sounds awesome!
Rialto in New Market was playing it. I didn't see though until the last (or maybe the only) weekend it was playing and I couldn't go.
I enjoyed the dvd though. It made me want to go see them in Sydney. Luckily I didn't go though as I had a bad cold at the time.
Yay for BDO tomorrow. Not quite as exciting without Blur, but should still be fun
Yea I found out it was playing at Rialto but i was in Sydney that weekend which was a month before Muse was due to play there, which is all terribly ironic.
Reasonably excited for BDO, mainly for Tame Impala and Arcade Fire but i hope to be impressed by some other bands.

It's the same every tour to some extent, you just have to accept that at the start of the tour they aren't going to have as many songs rehearsed as they normally do by the end. But saying that if they had 3 LA nights now they probably wouldn't play as many rarities as they did in Mexico, but I would say they would play more than the start of the tour.
-
I don't suppose there are any screenings of the Muse movie in NZ? It's already enough that they didn't end up doing a show here:$
-
It really sounds like they might actually break the three year cycle this time round. A new album in 2014 is probably too optimistic, but i could definitely see a earlyish 2015 release oppose to the normal September release.

He mentioned a few new bands he's been listening to in a recent interviews, one of them was Goat
Well I guess that's progress but my point still stands
-
After being a Muse fan for some 5 years now I am sick to death of the band talking about how great Rage against the machine are in interviews. We get it! They were/are a good live band!
Dom and Chris occasionally talk about what music they're into, but it seriously sounds like Matt hasn't listened to a new band in years.
-
I always remember Matt saying to me in 2004 about how much money they lost on bringing the show to NZ but they wanted to do it anyway. I hope they still feel like that again for you guys.
Hope everyone in Welly is not feeling too on edge!
Radiohead bought their big production for just one show last year, Muse better too:mad:
(or several shows)

In the TripleM interview recorded just after one of the Emirates gigs Matt said they hope to make it to NZ. So here's hoping!
-
Any chance of New Zealand getting some gigs do you think? We have been pretty neglected since 2007 besides a short festival set in 2010.
-
yeah it's true but coldplay on last tour has bring it from europe to australia
Not to mention they also played in NZ for just one date.
-
So Plug In Baby hasn't made the cut for this tour?
It's definitely still around it just might be getting rotated with bliss a bit this tour.
Big Freeze isn't really that bad if you accept that it basically IS a U2 song.
-
Wow, Black Keys on the 4th, Radiohead on the 7th and Coldplay on the 10th, that's going to be a hell of week for some people.
-
But 2010 was the first year they headlined it, and believe me, a festival as big as BDO won't have the same headliner twice in 4 years. Guaranteed.
Matt also told a friend of mine, who works for the company who was behind the 2010 November Arena tour, that he doesn't expect the band to come back here until mid-late 2013 to tour the new album.
Well Tool headlined in 2007 and then again in 2011, but i suppose that is an extra year.
-
Personally I liked what they were doing with Hyper Music at leeds, but they arent going to ever be able to beat the Montreux version unfortunatley. Space Dementia on the otherhand, was perfect. Matt actully playing the outro on guitar? How about that shit.
-
I can not believe what i witnessed for Rammstein. I cant believe they put their keyboardist in a pot and cooked him!
Did anyone see Iggy pop? Dont think i will ever see another 63 yearold dance round the stage like that, and getting 20 people up on stage with him was very win.
-
Fuck yes, Tool tomorow! My sister saw them in 2007, she said they were amazing live, very excited to say the least.
-
The HAARP version of Stockholm Syndrome, is one of my favourites of the song.
-
No, it wouldn't have.
Well its certainly FAR superior to the likes of Screenager, Darkshines and Feeling good imo
-
Hyper Chondriac Music would have been one of the best songs on OoS
-
I forgot that 50,000 people was ALOT of people for Auckland. Loads of buses packed to the brim with people are headed to Mt smart for the U2 gig going right past my house which is no where near Mt smart. Its weird thinking its more than the amount of people who go to big day out.

Sounds like the UFO is also a possiblity for Perth, i doubt it will end up happening though.

Lets not forget NSC....
But it also got B&H which is a positive i guess.

When The 2nd Law came out, people were SO sure it was better than The Resistance and I'm even pretty sure when TR came out initially people thought it was better than BHaR. The honey moon period is always the same around here, people have to believe that the album that just came out was at least better than the last one.
The Handler, Reapers and The Globalist are the only songs I really enjoy, and the latter has some of the most illogical choices within the song that I think Muse has ever made. Admittedly I have to wonder if my young self would have liked this album more, because my music taste probably has changed since then but the fact that they think that songs like Revolt are okay is just a bit much to look past at this point.
