lol, that's a good point. It reminds me of something i read, about the ten commandments. It asked why envying your neighbours belongings was a bad thing, if it inspires you to work so you can get things like that too. The language used in the bible was "though shalt not covert thy neighbours ass" or something like that, so the book said "is it really a bad thing if it inspires you to spend your life in pursuit of bigger and better asses".

Envy is like a disease amongst the lesser beings.

Yeah. I think a forum suffers from having a mod who is involved in the community. They're always biased in one way or another.

For the multicultural place they make London out to be, the only non English people i ever seem to meet are asian schoolchildren in open top buses and outside Buckingham palace.

There are a lot of good female bass players, i read an interview with the smashin pumpkins bassist, she thinks women are better suited to the bass for some reason.

But yeah bass is a little more limiting, you can still do some cool stuff with it though, and it's easier to join a band since there are less bassists around!

I'm not sure i'm a good enough actor to act modest, but i did play a wise man in the school nativity play, so maybe i'm not giving myself enough credit.

I tried bass for a while, i found it much more difficult than guitar. The frets are huge, so it's harder to stretch. I used to play around on the bass for a couple of minutes, then pick up a regular guitar, that made the frets on the guitar seem even smaller. It felt like playing a mandalin or something.
