  1. Oh no I haven't been in the main muse for ages.

I'm just popping in to say I'm really really enjoying drones! I thought I'd lost my enthuse for Muse after 2nd Law...only really liked Supremacy and Panic Station (for the lols).

But this one (apart from Mercy) is providing the goods! Loving it :musesign:

  2. Do it, your photos are lovely. Wedding photography is big money and once your photos get circulated around the area, people will hear of you. It just might take some time? My sister's photographer is so renown that people change their wedding dates to get her!

Also I saw your offbeat bride (I typed upbeat bride which makes me think of hairspray :chuckle:) article the other week and loved it .

edit: her hairstyle is so beautiful, love the flowers!

  3. Very impressed, and to have agitated was a pleasant surprise! Also citizen erased again was lovely. Wish I was going tonight though.

The light show was absolutely fantastic, might because I had the perfect straight on view.

Also glad that Dom got to have a little speel at the end, I remember Matt cutting him off last time

I've been listening to muse since 2006 and tbh the last couple of years I've lost my fangirlish enthusiasm, but yeah they definitely provided the goods to revive the enthusiasm! Definitely see them next time...

  4. Can anyone give me advice for purchasing cameras off ebay? I'm thinking a nikon j1 (but might get it after christmas). Other than making sure the seller has 100% positive feedback, I don't really know what else to do. I was also considering buying a used one because it's so much more affordable for me.

  5. haven't bought a camera from ebay before, but it should be like most other things, see if the seller is reliable, do they have a returns policy? is it an ebay shop or an individual? shops tend to be best. what country are they based in (you mightn't wanna be paying international shipping costs to return it for whatever reason). etc do they seem trustworthy basically

plus if it goes bad then you always have paypal and the dispute resolution system which help in getting your money back.

Thanks for the advice, I'm a bit nervous because I've never made big online purchases....but I think it's the best option for me at the moment.

  6. What are people's experiences and advice with buying cameras off ebay. Thinking about the Nikon V1 through ebay because they are sooooo much cheaper! And my friend also bought her and her sisters iphone on ebay and things work perfectly....?

  7. hay guise I was just thinking

years ago we used to pick a photo & then all do our own version of it. Like um, bare feet on grass next to shoes. Or a loveheart drawn on your fingertip.

Maybe that could be something fun to bring back?

I wanna do that, I'll try my best with my iphone or compact :supersad:

  8. agh sorry about the camera :( I don't have much experience with Nikons but it's always good to try out the camera before buying. people have been talking about mirrorless/compact system cameras in the thread (you can see bob's x100s shots). if it fits your shooting style, by all means get one! they can produce some high quality photos :) since I have a point and shoot and DSLR, I don't see the need for a mirrorless camera atm. bought a Panasonic Lumix GX1 not long ago but ended up selling it to a friend.

Thanks so much for the reply!! I just don't think a dslr is right for me anyway, because I don't know a lot of the applications. But at the same time I still like to play around and have higher quality photos. But my friend actually bought one so I might be able to play around with hers before I make any decisions. But I'm also a poor uni student so I'll need to save for 6months before I go buying anything....gives me a lot of time to decide.

  9. So unfortunately my canon lens is stuffed, beyond an affordable repair for me. I roughly got a year and half out of it :/. Here's the last good photo I took with it!

This time round I'm probably thinking of making the switch to a compact system camera and also moving from canon to nikon. While keeping my compact camera for nights out anyway. Siiiighhh going to have to save for awhile... But does anyone have any experience with both nikon and canon? And with the compact system cameras?

  10. I was all ready to do this July photo a day challenge then I fucking dropped my camera. On the lens, in its' hugely padded bag and it wasn't enough. The lens won't come out to zoom and makes various clicking noises, the camera is not under warranty anymore so when I go to get it fixed I'm expecting it to be a whopper :(

  11. 365 is more fun. Never trying that again mind

Did you make it? My friend tried it and only made it to march

I really like to get outside for my photography, I just don't know whether I'd have enough time to do it throughout the year. It would probably be most valuble, but I also don't have a DSLR and I'm not sure how much I can extend my camera's capabilities?

    ooh thats a cool idea.

I'd have to do something like that as a weekend project though. its dark by the time I get home from work

Yeah, fucking winter aye! Maybe you'll have to set it for when day lights goes back. How's the course going? I kinda want to do something like that now!

  12. I think I'm going to partake in a daily photography challenge for the month of July, because I find I never try to extend my photography skills.

    Something like this

Will have to see how I go.
