whoa, then how do you tighten them if you can still take them out and stuff?

Yeah i'm getting the Damon ones because its faster and because there is no friction or something. I want to get my braces over with asap.

 

Are these 'Damon' braces the smae as self-ligating braces? I have self-ligating and oh, there's friction all right. How long will you have them on for? My dentist told me 'one year' when I first when to see him, then when I got them put on he goes 'Oh, you can take them off in December next year by the way ' So I'm like ' Fuck you'

Debbie's post after my last one: Yeah +1...the thing they use to mould the teeth was green and looked like green tea ice cream...but it was horrible. Unlike ice cream.

Sorry didn't mean to scare you....well, at least you'll think it'll be absolutely dreadful, and who knows? Maybe when you get them put on you'll be like 'Oh, it wasn't that bad after all'

Oh god, tell me about it...I fucking hate that mould...but mine was metal and ughhhh.

Um, I got mine put on on two days...

The first day he did all the teeth except for the last teeth, and umm...I could KIND of chew rice...but it took ages so I just swallowed it...

Next day, he decided 'Hmm, I don't know why I used that wire. Let me change it!' and yanked off the wire, ouch. :'( And he put the brackets on the last teeth....It was like a metal ring shaped as my teeth and it goes around it and it has the bracket on top of it. Now THAT was the more traumatic part...ouch. I went to have lunch after that, and I had a laaaaaaarge bowl of soup. And then I had steak and eggs and a roastie or however you spell it and steak...Well, I just cut them up really tiny and swallowed them!

The day after that, I could eat putu mayam or however you spell it...but I don't like porridge haha. I could have soup with mushrooms and tofu, but I had smoothies to fill me up.

Then after that I slowly started to chew more...I can chew properly now, but just to warn you, wear the wax when you first get them. My sister said to wear them for the first month. Wahey, only two weeks left until I can stop worrying about getting massive ulcers.

The ulcers will be at the three back teeth on the bottom row, at least for me. But the lower teeth, the three front ones can press against your mouth and it could hurt sometimes, if that happens then use wax on them.

Oh, and take floss with you when you go out and you want to eat...not good to have food stuck in your teeth when you're out in public. And it's the lower teeth where the food will get stuck more.

Ahh, the lower teeth...the braces on them cause the most pain/trouble/inconvenience. In fact, I didn't even need them on the bottom teeth, but my dentist insisted that I get them done too anyways.

And one last thing...be prepared when they use that horrible plastic thing to hold your mouth open as they glue the brackets on.

Yes he is...but he's gay. Yeah, he put a pair of pliers in my mouth and he was like 'Hmm, I can't get the right angle' and it slipped and stabbed my gums and I was almost crying.

Because just the sound of Tim and Mark... Oooh, I would love to have 'I LOVE BECKETT' on my teeth

Some are, the others are eeeeeeeeeevil. He smiles when he stabs my gums and I wince in pain.

But then...I'll end up drooling while you're trying to put the braces on...Oh, NOW you ask me to come to you...I wanted the Beckett customization, remember? But you refused. :'(

oh, while we're on topic of pain and whatnot, I'll be getting braces next week! anyone gotten braces here? I'm pretty darn scared that all the food i'd be able to eat is just porridge. I'm already wearing those separator things between my teeth and i feel like as if i'm chewing gum whenever i'm closing my mouth

Hey peeps,

Actually don't wanna be talking abt this, but at Friday 2.30 am some crazy bastard entered my home and attacked me with a cleaver, when I was asleep(and took my phone as well), got 7 stitches at my head. I got discharged frm the hospital today, I'm feeling alright, so don't worry abt me, just pray for me a fast recovery. Anyways, bukan nak mintak sympathy ke apa lah, just wanna remind you all to be vigilant even at home coz thr are alot of desperate bastards nowadays. Take care!
