Verry sorrowfully...I got T-boned today while shuffling through muse on my ipod...I blacked out and woke up to Assassin. I don't think that counts since I was playing it, but it was a comforting note to wake up to something familiar...when the tow truck arrived and I was in the ambulance getting checked up on, I hobbled over to my car and saved my purse, ipod, BH&R, and OoS which were luckily the only two in there. It was a very dramatic moment...I kinda wish someone who cared about muse was there with me so that we could praise my success together. Oh well...I know none of you know me, but I just thought I'd share my Friday the 13th misfortune. Ugh. Night all.
Perhaps assassin is not the most comforting muse song it could have been though.

There's this absolutely terrifying robot called Titan that scared the hell out of my hometown a few years ago. Apparently it sings muse songs too - someone told me it was in their town last weekend and sang knights of cydonia! When I saw it it sang fly me to the moon and wonderful world.
I was bloody terrified of it, but when it sang wonderful world this small girl came out and stood right next to it and looked like she loved it. She was about six years old.

wow, you really are quite drunk! lol
in the dream i didn't feel particularly excited that he was cooking for me... it just seemed normal. and then i got angry at the spoon thing...
i doubt a microwave would actually explode... it normally sparks and stuff methinks...
I'm not that drunk! I'm spelling marvellously, just a bit chattery!

I had a dream where Matt was cooking for me... he put something in the microwave, but he left a metal spoon in the dish and I couldn't decide whether it would be rude to say something or not, because after all he was cooking for me...
After a moment's indecision, I realised that it's very dangerous to leave metal spoons in the microwave, so I nudged him and said "You idiot! You've left a spoon in the microwave!"
He got really offended and still didn't stop the microwave.
Then I woke up... so I'll never know if we died in the resulting explosion (which is what I was expecting)
the thing that bugs me about that is that if someones cooking then they shouldn't be using a microwave. microwaves are "shit it, I can't be arsed to cook, let's heat up some soup out of a tin or that spaghetti bolognese that's been in the fridge for about seven years." if someone does say they're going to cook for you and uses a microwave you'd be a bit p.o'd.
do microwaves really explode if you put metal in them? that's a bit scary. my friends one stopped turning once and it set fire to her kitchen. I always check mine now.

i explained mine in the thread most appropriate (the pmt, ENOUGH SAID.) I shall not go into it again.

tiro on scuzz.

I heard starlight being played as I was at the photography shop at college. Really distracted me while I was paying for my film.

Last night and a friends 18th I requested plug in baby and it cleared the dancefloor.
They didn't have supermassive black hole. If they had I'd have asked for that... it was either plug in baby or time is running out. Probably should have gone for time is running out actually.

Thats like Muse's least geeky song
I know. My dad and I talked about how it was silly to put muse in there. And then he said he didn't like supermassive black hole.
fool.
-
oh before i left the house yesterday there was an hour devoted to geek rock. they played supermassive black hole.
and loser by beck.
-
well I'm not sure - I think you can use a small amount of a song without having to get permission or pay anyone. They'd probably get money for the perfume ads and that but when it's just used on telly programs I'm not sure.
sing for abso was on scuzz about 20 mins ago.

hysteria on nme tv earlier.

They've already done Take a Bow anyway
What did they use take a bow for? I didn't watch all the episodes of doctor who or dr who confidential.
-
I was sitting there just WAITING for them to use muse. I honestly thought they were going to have a montage of the master with take a bow playing in the background - with all the scenes of destruction and the earth all ruined and stuff. but nooo - instead it was invincible. And it wasn't even the guitar solo - it was all the quiet bits which would be boring if it wasn't for the fact that it was building to something. but they cut out the bit it was building towards. Well done.
-
anyone told already about the commercial for the Prince William and Harry interview?
Take a Bow in the background..
Kind of rude in my opinion
The bbc should have used it to advertise coverage of tony blair chucking being the pm in.
-
Starlight on Doctor Who confidential, so that's 4 episodes in a row (6 in total) featuring Muse.
Definitely must be a Muse fan picking the music:D
Which other songs have been used? I saw knights of cydonia with those scarecrows (my family actually called me into the room to show me) and I saw starlight today.
I'd be surpised if they haven't used supermassive black hole yet!
-
A while ago they dotted it around an episode involving setting the pub on fire...and then recently they used it in a storyline about some pervy nutter. It's just that sort of song.
I saw that! I never watched hollyoaks and I flicked over to E4 once and caught the end, and there was showbiz - with some guy brandishing some pills at a sleeping woman or something.
-
Did anyone watch the Bafta's?
When Daniel Craig walked out they played supermassive black hole, and my mum told me they also used another muse song after I went to bed (I had school the next day, don't mock me) that she thinks was starlight.
-
Went into aol just now and:

KOC right now on Big Brother's Big Mouth.
edit
Ah yes, didn't see that..I forgot it was repeated on Ch4 from E4. Was nicely suited wasn't it?
It was pretty great, Russel Brand's foul mouth set to knights of cydonia. Song suited him surprisingly well.
Didn't they use hysteria for Leo Sayer's clips of best bits ages ago when he left the house?
-
They used knights of cydonia for clips of all the best bits of big brothers big mouth. It was so great.
-
Ugly Phil pronounced it "Hystairia...."
Fool.
It's hyst-ear-ia.
-
My friend Chris thought they were playing supermassive black hole in macdonalds the other day. It was actually the M People.
I hate macdonalds. Even their hot chocolates are scummy.
-
they just played the ending of 'map of the problamatique' on this ad for an ITV show called 'primeval'
I noticed that, I saw it earlier, then again during the dancing on ice ad break (I stopped watching dancing on ice because it was so boring - "I know, let's watch a load of people who don't know how to dance on ice, dancing on ice" "GENIUS IDEA! LET'S DO IT" )
I wasn't entirely sure if it was map of the problematique - the second part where you can hear the guitars come in a bit more sounded a bit different.
I also flicked over to malcom in the middle earlier, and they were using franz ferdinand for a school dance scene! Yay.
I was also watching you've been framed earlier (yes, I had a really lazy day and watched a load of tv) and I reckon it's only a matter of time before they use "supermassive black hole" for footage of people falling into holes, or just falling over, or between boats, or other such things.)
Where have you heard Muse?

It was about as cheesey as the original song tbh.
What I wanna know is why is Will.I.Am wearing Dumbledore's glasses?
