Is anyone else getting the NIN vibes I’m getting in some of the baselines and drumming?

Glad to hear so many positive reviews on the gig yesterday, really helps my hype after that Belfast-Depression. And also very good news on the crowd. I checked some videos and there's really quite a visible difference. Definitely looks like one of the best crowds of the 360-tour so far. I'm seriously hoping the upcoming London gigs will be similar, as personally I'm quite dependent on a jumpy crowd in order to fully enjoy the gig.
No one does crowds like us in Manc. Back with a last minute standing ticket!

Citizen erased between Starlight and Madness is hilarious.....

Globalist feat. The "Dildrone"

on the subject of stages - saw alt-J last night and it was the by far the best "stage show" I've ever seen (I've seen Muse 10+ times since 2006). Simple but visually stunning - essentially just LEDS, lights and a few mobile screens. Complimented each song perfectly with very little repetition. I don't think they need to strip back their stage but could do it with less gimics (actors and tacky drones) just an amazing light show set to the music would suffice.

Matt on Radio 2 at 8:20 with an exclusive announcement..... UK tour dates surely?
-
Love the knee-jerk - "kickly release the handler video!" in response to the leak...
-
Was very sceptical a few months ago but seems this album may actually deliver. I'm not expecting OOS/ Abso levels of greatness but so far im the tone has been suitably dark (more in keeping with "old" muse), the guitar work and vocals are probably the best we've heard from matt in a long time but they've managed to balance it right so it's still accessible to the more casual fan. If this is Mutt's work then I hope they stick with him for a while longer. Well impressed
-
Well out of the loop - sorry! - but are we expecting Mercy to be released in the not too distant future given it's track length has now suddenly appeared on iTunes? (And nothing else has)
-
It's a bit boring.
Needed more Drones....
-
Based on the limited descriptions so far of the Globalist, I'm expecting Drones - as a finale to be relatively understated, like all of the other final tracks (bar KOC). I doubt they're going to have a closing track as equally mental if there's a 10 minute prog nightmare beforehand.....
-
Initial disappointment entirely stems from expectations of the "RAWK!!" sound from the tour and psycho but after listening to it several times more - I couldn't have been more wrong about this track. Excellent melodies, lyrics (ignoring the "greatest guy" part) and overall very good single. Only thing I have yet to reserve judgement on, is whether this is an album opener. Gut feeling says no but will reserve judgement until I hear the whole album. For now will enjoy it as it's meant to be for now - a surprisingly above average (for Muse), given clear U2/ Queen-ness again.

Lots. The video is boobs feat. lyrics.

I don't dislike it.... Just struggling to believe I saw this band on this song play THAT setlist from Manchester less than 24hours ago....

Going to go down a treat at Download....

If I were on death row, this gig would have been my last meal. Holy shit. Fuck me sideways, amazing set, amazing crowd. And that circle pit for knights was sweet.
Proudest moment of my life was starting that
-
22 people in the queue already apparently.
Mental.
WHY!? - The most I've ever queued is an hour (and that was for the stadiums) and I've made it pretty much to the front each time (albeit not the barrier) but still.... I couldn't think of a worse way to spend a build up to a gig. Shivering in a tent, on Manchester's busiest bus route.....
-
PIB was a relatively last minute addition then?
EDIT - sorry just noticed it further down...
-
This is unbelievably good. Welcome back all credibility. Welcome back Muse
