Your band is called minimum????
hahaha. My old band name was minimum before we changed it to Ki Kame.
How strange
Oh! can any people musically involved here help.
My band is looking to secure a few gigs in the UK later this year.
Is their any Organisation that promotes unsigned Bands or, would their be any bands interested in helping us out by letting us open for them or anything really. Would be good to hear from some of you!
yeah its weird. i was going to register http://www.minimum.tk, so i just checked to see if someone had got it and it was you lot. so we popped into the site and we got really freaked out, serious. our guitarist uses a parker p40 :o As you know, they're not super common. you like the same music as us and everything. you're like our irish equivalents vice versa.
then when we saw your drummer had passed on, i started worrying. (no distaste intended).
this was before i knew you were on these messageboards.
fucking freaky man.

The pic posted earlyer "asking what is this?" memory lock was part right, it was a floor tom leg bracket. there was a memory lock attached to it. these make it so you get the same set up each night.
so it's a memory lock then

Very nice choices of the hats and ride
May I ask why you're getting sabian crashes with zildjian hats and ride? Seems odd to me, becuase I'm sad, I have to everything of the same company.
so do i

how much are you selling the projections for. i might just buy them

I'd prefer to use a memory lock tbh.
Where can you buy them separately, might get a few in after xmas
-

Â
is it some kind of jobby that means the drum is always set to that height each time? i know theres a word for that but i cant remember it. thats doms second floor tom in the pic btw.

Stores buy in starclassic maples individually and sell them as kits.
E.G.: They order a bass and couple toms and sell them as 'a kit.'
You can custom order anything on the starclassic birch and maple lines but in some cases it may take upto 6 months for when the store phones them up for you and when you actually recieve it
Custom order includes:
tom sizes 8x7" through to 24x18",
undrilled birch bass drum,
20 or so finishes in laquer or 3 choices in wrap,
sound focus rings,
gold AND black hoops (though if you want black, the drum store will say it's not available...but it is)
and klots more look on tama.com
i know lots about starclassic kits becuase i'm getting one soon (yay!) and my drum teacher is endorsed by them so i'm constantly been given all this information
P.S. If you're thinking of buying a tama kit wait until 2005: something new and special is coming out!! (i can't say much more as it's classified info)
2 things,
1. Who is your drum tutor?
2. Well why the hell do you know if it's classified? Are they putting the Exotix out for general release or something?

TAMA starclassic maples dont come in packs only the birtch does, a shop may make a pack but TAMA does not supply them as such for a kit like dom, (you cant get the same colour as him, TAMA no do the old blue sparkle kit but not the chrome or black HW,) would set you back about £1800 with no stands or cymbals,
Ludwig Black Beautys 14 x 61/2 go for around £450 but they come on ebay alot. Look at the Ludwig 400's they sound much better IMO and go for about £320
Of your on a budget look ar the Ludwig 300 @ about £99 its about the same as the 400 but made in china with a few lower grade parts, Or there is the Pearl Chad smith @ £150 that sounds just like a 400,
Dom is now using a Starclassic Maple in 14x 61/2
A ribon crasher attaches to any cowbell holder or a cymbal stand top (with no cymbal on) it has an eye bold like you see on a cowbell
Rhythm Crasher*, although I think I've heard it called a ribbon crasher before.

any of you guys know where i could buy tama starclasic with the same set up as dom, maybe less cymbals, but bassically the same drum wise?? And for how much?
Cheers, Andy
It's gonna cost you a fair bit as his set up doesnt come as a standard 'pack' if you like.
Try Newcastle Drum Centre (http://www.newcastledrum.co.uk), they're pretty decent with prices, and get a quote.

why
For a start he uses K crashes now instead of A custom projections and it's a 22" K custom ride, not just regular.
