... This is like the time Bs shut the case lid on his MB-1, just it's not funny because I have no idea how this happened.
ouch
-
His voice is sounding pretty damn good tbh
-
I was expecting MOTP as soon as I heard that low C.
Silly me.
I was expecting dead inside.

I'm pretty sure that's the second one. Unless he had the pickup replaced in the original?
It did look fairly beaten up like the first one though.
Also, was surprised to see that he didn't use a single matt black (as in his usual tour spec guitars) last night
He used a kaoss guitar for the medley at RAH which was weird. I'm glad he's stopped using the plain matt blacks so much, just got boring. Also, the tone is immense on that song.

Return of the gloss black?

The last two minutes of it are absolutely gorgeous. The beat and piano might be repetitive but the stuff going on with the strings, choir and synth at the end is one of the most beautiful things Matt has ever written.
Don't think I'm gonna convince you but I would urge you to give this another look
100% agree. The ending of The Void has a similar vibe, but it comes nothing close to this. Also, did Matt know he was writing this for WWZ or did they ask for the rights to it afterwards?

Hardcore fans are too harsh on Muse live, and that’s not me being elitist or getting on a high horse ‘cos I used to be just as bad.
A lot of what they get criticised for is actually pretty understandable and we often create our own disappointment by hoping for ideals (just ‘cos of how much we like them and their music tbf) and following every set. Hearing them talk about the live shows and individual songs, you can see how much care they put into it and I actually feel bad seeing some of the levels of criticism that gets thrown their way a little too easily, including stuff I used to say.

The Groove absolutely not, Showbiz I’d say 97% a no as well I wouldn’t hold out hope for any rarities tbh, I think it’s gonna be hard for them to squeeze the new songs and greatest hits into the set with much room left over but they do tend to bring around a couple of fan favourites for stadiums. In the past we’ve had CE, Bliss, B&H, Dead Star, RBS, Unintended and Blackout (and freak cases of Yes Please and Agitated) so maybe think around that tier - old and uncommon but generally not mental. If owt does come back though, Manchester usually gets a decent set.
How do you mean ‘big’?
It'd be good if CE could become a more common song in the sets like it did on the Drones tour. Blackout always works out well for the stadiums.
And big- Mental stage size, cost of the production with actors, massive fire chimneys and huge lighting.

guitar tone was awful.

Did he really build a replica of the wolfgang because MB used one
spelling of "blakky" offends me more than the guitar.

Maaaaaad, feels like I was just a wee babby for my first Muse gig.
Would imagine you’ll enjoy it, it’ll mostly be new songs + greatest hits but that’s usually what you want from your first gig. I remember being buzzing for PIB, Hysteria, Supermassive, Uprising, TIRO and Knights at mine. If you get within the front third of the standing crowd, it should be pretty good in Manchester.
soft at the core?
Can't imagine not enjoying it, haha! Really excited for SMBH and Pressure too. Hoping for a couple of rarer songs like The groove or showbiz to turn up, it just makes the setlist a little less predictable. Do you think it'll be as big as the Unsustainable tour?
-
Well it looks like I’m going. It’s unbelievable but it’s gonna be my first muse gig considering how long I’ve been muse fan. Anyone got any ideas/thoughts on what the shows gonna be like?
-
Yesssss. His tones on the 2nd Law tour were actually pretty spot on for the most part.
As Jobby said, ever since he's been relying on a mix of clangy, thin distortions and that really fuzzy, sub octave heavy tone a lot that is saturated in phaser it's just gone downhill.
Need the ridiculous fuzz from T2L back

Never forget Matt playing SMBH on a banjo
I hate that performance with a burning passion.
-
cover of HLTW is top notch, really suits Matt voice actually. Fair play.
-
So, anyone else here with any experience on the Mooer Tender Octaver? Personally bought it as a bit of an impulse buy and just to play around, but with enough tweaking I've started to notice it's a real sweet octaver for bass. Can hit that Starlight-type growliness when paired with OS-2 without getting muddy all day and is still pretty versatile. Also freakin fantastic for splashing ontop of some fills in heavier stuff.
Yeah it's a sick pedal, we have one in the shop are and it's real good for Jack White kinda stuff as well. Think i'll be buying it soon haha

I imagine he's doing what a lot of Kemper artists seem to do and using amps for most sounds then Kemper for a few specific effects.
But all his tones sound so shit I can't see how they're the amps he has. They sound nothing like his studio or past tones
He uses Kempers for amp models then axe fx for effects.

This... is seriously an interesting inlay on a bass
Bloody awful.

Anyone saw that the MBC-1 has been discontinued?
Also this.
I did see about the MBC1's, v sad, don't know why they'd do that to be honest, unless they're releasing a new mansion bellorz signature based on ST tour guitars, or even a new cort guitar.
Also, that lozenge has re-lit my GAS
-
holy shit i've found it. This is bloody good.

Matthijs do not request copyrighted material

trying to download the album on Soulseeker, haven't even heard it yet. I've tried to download some, but it's just saying "queued" anyone know what to do? It's the first time i've tried this.

What are these aesthetics that everyone is talking about? Surely not as important as #details
That humbucker size makes no sonic difference tho. Maybe he doesn't need that blend mode that the single coil one has.
-
Also, we're avoiding the fact that we don't know why he's gone for a humbucker sustainiac.
General Gear and Tab Season IV: Can it play barre chords?

Well at least we know where that awful bass heavy tone came from, and it can't have been used just for pressure, it sound like it was one he used throughout the whole drones tour as well.
