  1. MAN... You guys weren't kidding about the whole "intimate" thing... I got 2nd row from the barrier, and for literally 4 hours I was being pushed up against some poor chick that had to listen to me scream the lyrics to every single song Muse played last night :L I had to keep awkwardly apologizing, still, awkwardness went out the window when Matt jumped down and started shaking people's hands... I have a photo of him looking right at me from about a foot and a half away, best photo ever, hahah ;D

P.S. I got demolished when Dom through his drum stick directly above me :L

  2. It looks like they're playing the same 10 songs, just in a slightly different order each night.

This was the set from Perth

    Silhouettic

    The Others

    White Witch

    When The Night Falls Quiet

    Broken Bones

    Wild At Heart

    Circles

    This Fire

    Plans

    Lanterns

I'm pretty happy with it :D

Well, the next few days will be those songs on repeat :p

  3. Birds of Tokyo's latest album is so boring it makes me want to cry. Their earlier stuff is great though, right now I'm loving 'Circles'. The guitar there <3

Nice, I've been listening to that entire album lately, I definitely plan on actually buying it at some point. "Saddest Thing I Know" has to be my favourite track, but at this point I'm just trying to familiarise myself with their songs before the concert. Any idea on which songs they're likely to play?

  4. Well... My mother decided that it'd be a great idea to book my flight to Sydney on the same day as the concert, so I won't be getting to the venue until around 3 - 4pm (Assuming there are no delays on the flight). Would I still have a chance of getting to the barrier? I'd be guttered if I was all the way at the back :/

  5. I'm in nearly the same situation as you, 'cept I'll be just over 17 :chuckle: I'm not sure if I'm going by myself or if my family's coming but if I go by myself I'd by staying at a relative's house too.

Next thing you know we'll be catching the same flight or having a pre-show feed at the same McDonalds or something, hahaha

  6. Travelling by yourself on the plane shouldn't be a problem as long as you follow instructions as far as boarding and customs go.

As far as coming over here, just make sure that you have an itinerary. Basically, write a list of where you will be each day and if possible at what times as well as a list of contact numbers that are important (yours, your parents/relatives). Hold on to a copy and give a few copies to relatives and friends so that in the rare event anything goes wrong, there's at least some idea where you are.

    Also, have you booked accommodation?

Thanks for the advice, I just typed one up now, though it's likely to get changed quit a bit before December ;) I haven't booked any accommodation yet, but I've found a relative I should be able to stay with, so I'm a little less "on my own" now, thankfully. Any advice about "the pit"? I've heard the horror stories of people getting bruised and battered trying to get to the front, but I think I'll still have a go at getting to the barrier

  7. Wouldn't it have been better to wait for them to announce NZ dates? :erm:

Originally, I had planned on waiting, but seeing as the pre-sale message came up here, I took that as a sign that Australia was as close to N.Z. as they were gonna' get :( And anyway, they only ever come here for festivals, and I wanna' see their Unsustainable Tour set-up

  8. I bought a ticket for the G/A through the Muse.mu pre-sale for this show, and I have to say; I'm beyond excited! Just a couple of little issues though; I'll be just under 17 years old when the show's on, and this'll be the first concert I've ever been to. The problem is, not only will I be going to the concert by myself, but I'll be traveling to Australia by myself (I live in New Zealand). Does anyone have any tips or advice? It could be helpful for others too!
