  1. Those of you who didn't get the early access code, don't worry; it wasn't worth having. I tried to get tickets for June 1 London Stadium and was offered tickets at either £185 or £319 each. They can shove those overpriced suppositories where the sun don't shine. I'll try again at 1pm. If that fails, I will try the venue's presale on Thursday.

There are two separate sales pages - one for the enhanced/premium tickets (which are those prices) and one for regular tickets. Had no issue getting a GA ticket for London!

  2. Glad I watched the first half of CHVRCHES' set before heading over to watch Muse's set from the back rather than going for a good spot. Even going in with low expectations, this was underwhelming  The set length wasn't their fault - the festival only booked them for a 75-minute set - but the set list was. Playing Munich Jam and The Globalist when you only have so little time just doesn't make sense... but oh well :logic:

  3. At least you've set those expectations that low that no Resistance is probably a bonus. :chuckle:

It's the best way to go these days, who knows how they'll surprise me

Same here. It kinda feels like roulette at this point. I'm just hoping on not getting Resistance, since I believe I've got that at every gig. Same for Hysteria.

I'd be VERY happy with getting something like MotP, CE or Stockholm, since I've never seen the first two live. But yeah, it'll probably be Resistance, UD or Feeling Good...

I've seen them six times since 2012 and think I've only had one gig without Resistance, a few more without Hysteria though (which I like better). Then again, I've also only seen Feeling Good once so I can't really complain :chuckle:

  4. Dutch radio station 3FM interviewed Hans-Peter about the new concert film: http://www.3fm.nl/nieuws/detail/364657 (in Dutch)

The core bits are that he's the director of photography, they've already been filming in Amsterdam and Milan, and they will film more in Berlin (where they'll apparently be testing some new ideas) - so unlike Rome, it'll be made up of bits from different shows. He says about Rome: "That one was already awesome, but this film will crawl under your skin. It'll be more dynamic, heavy and more rock. It'll be more of an interpretation than a recording." They're also recording documentary parts for it, but he's not sure whether they'll be mixed in with the gig footage or a separate bit.

  5. Very pleased they've picked Corrino to record it. They've recorded a bunch of shows for a band I worked with and they always look pretty amazing - so even if it's a shit setlist, at least it'll look nice

Guess they're probably recording tonight and tomorrow... Hope they pick some decent songs this time around.

  6. New programmes at Absolute Radio include an exclusive programme behind the scenes with Muse on their Drones tour.

It’s part of a new summer weekend schedule which also includes extended request shows fronted by Claire Sturgess.

On Thursday 28th April at 9pm, Danielle Perry will be go behind the scenes on the Drones tour featuring exclusive interviews with Muse who’ll reflect on their latest album and life on the road. The two hour documentary will showcase live tracks from their O2 gigs plus some of the songs which have inspired them.

This Thursday then... could be good.

  7. I can't think of many arena/stadium bands with 5+ albums that play for less time than Muse tbh. I'd say the average for a band of their size, reputation, discography, ticket prices etc. is at least 2 hours.

I saw Coldplay on their arena tour in 2011, when they were promoting their fifth album, and they only played for 85 minutes. So yes, it could be worse :stunned:

They didn't do it in Amsterdam last week, though...

  8. One of the Dutch reviews of last night's show mentioned the setlist choices being worse than they could have been (which I agree with, though I still very much enjoyed the show) and then proceeded to call The Handler and Citizen Erased the worst songs in the set and praise Revolt. Oh well

  9. Only seen them three times so far - The 2nd Law arena and stadium tour, and a Drones festival show. Not really expecting to add too much unseen songs (except from Drones) at the shows next month...
