  1. Amazing gig, crowd where we were (in front of block 104 I think, where Matt was singing right at the start) were top class, we were going nuts all night :)

I think when you're looking at setlists after every gig it's very easy to be critical and totally write a gig off, looking at the tour thread there's loads of people slagging the setlist off. But last night was amazing and I think the crowd turned it from a normal Muse gig to one of my favourites

I was in that part too. The crowd was amazing! Watching peoples videos on youtube, I'm pleasantly surprised by how loud our singing was, lol.

  2. Got my tickets through the post between Christmas and New Year.

Does anyone have any idea of timings? We've got seated tickets, but only planning on turning up last minute, not bothered at all about the support act. Are Muse expected around 9pm?

Muse were due on about 20:30 last night and were about ten minutes late. Support act on until 20.00.

  3. Hate to put a dampener on this thread. Can't complain about the show, amazing as usual, but having bought the most expensive presale tickets on first day of sale, Block F sucked, big time. That hammerhead end blocked the view of the central stage and was rarely used apart from the piano bits. Drop down video screens were not fully visible and there was a gaping space devoid of all fans between us and the stage.

Have seen every tour since 2003 and for me, that was the worst view ever. Have wanted them to play in the round for ages and I guess if you were on the side it would have been awesome, but unfortunately, there are still bad seats.

I fully agree. I was also block F (row H) and our seats were a lot lower than the rest of the arena, so difficult to even see over the end stage. Must be why they let the first two rows through to standing near the end.

Luckily I'll be standing at Manchester on Friday.

  4. I live in Manchester next to Manchester Arena, I'm going on my own now so if anyone wants to meet up - hit me up. I can show you around Manchester if you're getting here earlier an point you to right direction (the bar or to queue early).

Where's a good pre-gig place to eat? I'm stopping at the Premier Inn and will travel up by train.

  5. Right okay, my bad.

I thought they renamed the LG to Barclaycard. Apparently the LG is now the Genting Arena (where The 2nd Law gig was held) and yes - It was crap.

There were people just standing around like they never even been to a gig before. Moaning at me for "standing in their way" just because I moved forward (not pushed, moved). No one knew the words to their old stuff. Only the likes of Madness and Survival had people singing and cheering. That album blatantly attracted a bunch of boring tossers.

Anyway, the Barclaycard Arena is the old NIA then is it? Have they done out the interior at all? I saw Prodigy there back in 2009 and it was really run down. There's no way I'd be happy paying £80 for that.

That was the gig I got told to sit down. I didn't. It was my first Muse gig and I was too excited to sit still and not dance

  6. I've decided to console my self on paying (F***k***) tout prices by thinking about how organised I was sorting my hotel room. I got it for half the price they were the day after and they are now sold out both nights.

At least I now have a few months to save up for another tour t-shirt ;)

My ticket arrived today in a HUGE cardboard envelope and a huge UPS van, lol.

ETA: Must put it somewhere safe. If I forget, remind me it's by the lamp in the living room please.

  7. Yes think all blocks apart from a and b are actually standing. I assume they allocate blocks and seat no.s to keep track of sales. Lower tiers and upper tier seat blocks are all numbers not letters. A bit confusing as said seated but shows standing area on pic.

At least I won't get told to shut up and sit down then like the first time I saw them. How can you pay good money for a gig and not sing and dance? Some people!
