[PMT 53: Only a violated amp is a good amp]

The short story is that my friend and I met Matt outside a studio in London. We had a brief chat and he said they're just rehearsing atm and won't be recording until November, then we each got a photo with him

 

 

 

The long version of the story is that my friend and I went to the studio they're recording in (we both had an afternoon off ) and after about 40 minutes of wandering around, we came round the corner and saw Matt sat on a wall, talking on his phone We kept our distance while he was talking, trying to calm down (not very successfully!) then when he had finished he walked up to us and asked if we were waiting for him. We chatted a little bit- he asked where we were from, I asked how it was going in the studio. He said they're just rehearsing at the moment (complete with wavey hand mimes for "rehearsing" ), they're not expecting to start recording till later in November. Then he said he needed to get to work so we each got a photo with him and he went into the studio It was brief but amazing to meet him when there was only two of us, no management or anyone, and Matt was really friendly and polite (and of course beautiful!). He didn't seem to mind chatting for a moment, particularly when I asked him about recording Sadly Chris and Dom didn't show up, but it was still the highlight of my year

 

Edit: also his hair was sooo fluffy

 

 

 

 

That's amazing!! It's so nice that he came over to talk to you too, I've heard a few other people say he often walks the other direction! How did you know where they were recording? was it pure luck?

They played Plug In Baby of MTV because it was Zane Lowe's top 50 guitar legends or somethings like that (and Matt came 5th! ) anyway the only real reason I noted it was because they said it was from the album Showbiz I would have expected more from MTV

I heard Muscle Museum in my local shopping center, the local radio station was playing it. In my town I cannot emphasize how strange that is.

in my dream last night me and my friend were on holiday and I was taking a picture of her. whilst I was taking the picture Muse walked past behind her and Matt did this comedy creeping walk thing behind her and pulled funny faces and silly hand gestures and what not whilst I was taking her picture! then they ran off and she never found out but I was secretly laughing

KoC on Radio 1 this afternoon!

 

Yeah! I flicked onto the radio just at the "No ones going to take me alive" bit and it must have been because I very rarely hear Muse on the Radio but I couldn't recognize the song for a second I was like, it sounds like Muse but it doesn't? And then I was like OMG KOC! and internally kicked myself for my momentary lapse

Rediscovered the intense epicness of Megalomania last night! I encourage you all to go and play it on full volume right now! A phenomenal album closer that I don't think I've ever really given the credit it deserved before!

 

If you have the access to one, try listening to Megalomania on a home cinema system/surround sound speakers or something, it is EPIC!

I practically had a heart attack when it came on!

I find it very hard to ever pick favourites but I think...

Hyper Chondriac Music is my favourite underated Muse song (is underated the right term? i dont know! perhaps)

I may chnage this opinion soon, I can usually never pick favourites, especially when it comes to Muse
