  1. My god the London Stadium is garbage. For a stadium opened this decade, there is really nothing impressive about it at all. Cramped concourses, short and wide inside, and one hell of a bastard walk back to the tube. I hope Muse never play here again. Probably second only to Alexandra Palace as my least favourite venue.

Aside from that, the show was fantastic. Being my first time seeing Muse since 2017, it was great to hear all the new songs live, and all the other stuff sounded great. Really enjoyed the visuals too. Ace show.

  2. Does anyone know if stage times are likely to be posted for this gig anywhere? Does the London Stadium twitter account tend to tweet stage times?

All I can find so far is from the Ticketmaster email: "Last entrance is scheduled for 30 minutes after the beginning of the headline act (9pm)" - does that mean Muse begin at 8:30 or 9?

  3. The site was so smooth, what the hell? I am used to these ticket sites being so crap, but this site performs without any hitching? No queues, errors..

In my experience Gigs & Tours, along with similar site See Tickets (although I haven't used that in ages, it might have changed), have always been incredibly smooth and quick to use - as long as you have your address and card details already saved on your account, buying tickets never takes more than 20-30 seconds.

Makes you wonder why sites like Ticketmaster and AXS need to be so hair-tearingly over-complicated.

  4. Couldn't not update this after tonight. Holy moly...

  5. Not sure you're meant to be any quicker. On super fast fibre broadband dead on 9!

I've been going to Muse gigs for the past 11 or 12 years and never known it to become so difficult to buy tickets as it is now! So frustrating

Not just Muse but ticket buying in general for big acts seems to have become incredibly difficult in the last year or so.

I'm just incredibly thankful that this sale wasn't hosted by AXS... as bad as Ticketmaster are, they have nothing on AXS and their horribly unfair waiting room system.

  6. The intimate Manchester Academy Muse show, card machine on the door, the receipt was your ticket ;)

They did the same thing with a card reader on the Psycho Tour iirc, but I don't remember it printing out tickets. Just that they verified it and let you in.

    Edit: Guess I'm wrong.

Clearly I have a poor memory then as I was at the Brighton show!

    1 minute, good luck guys.

  7. Yup. Saw Royal Blood in Leicester recently and my card was put into a machiney thing by the door staff. I nearly shat myself because it didn't work twice, but then they got another machine and it worked and spat out my tickets THANK GOD.

Fair enough. I didn't even picture anything like a machine, I thought they'd just glance at your card and compare it with the confirmation email if anything. Suppose it's going to be quite a long queuing experience then!

P.S. Big up Royal Blood, bet that gig was sick.

  8. Does anyone know if general sale tickets are ONLY available on ticketmaster?

For the Drones tour I was trying gigsandtours AND ticketmaster and g+t got me the tickets in the end.

I had no luck on Wednesday with the presales, I didn't give up til 4:30pm :$. I'm hoping for better luck today. I've got my 2nd Law tour t-shirt on in the hopes it brings me fortune.

They're also available on the Live Nation website but if I recall it's also operated by Ticketmaster so I don't know how much of a difference it will make. Maybe slightly less traffic?

  9. How many people here have actually been to a gig in which they've checked your payment card? In my experience with these "you need photo ID and the card you paid with" events, they only ever ask to see ID and never the card. Of course there's every chance this gig could be the exception, but try not to overthink things too much.

Good luck to everyone trying this morning.

  10. So their only fault would be that it was 10 min delayed. Those of you who didn't get ticked (me included) wouldn't have had a better chance at getting one if they opened it exactly at 9.

But people will be angry they didn't get a ticket, I get it.

I got a ticket and I'm still pretty pissed that they didn't go on sale until 9:10. It's pretty unprofessional. What if I had given up and come to post here, only to miss when they actually went on sale? If they go up at 9 and they sell out, fine. But to go up at a completely random time is unacceptable.

  11. I notice on the Ticketmaster seating map for this gig it shows Level 1 and Level 2 as RESERVED seating. This is unusual for Shepherd's Bush, which is usually unreserved everywhere. Does this perhaps mean we can only buy tickets for Level 3 and standing, with the others being reserved for charities/competitions maybe? Guess we'll find out in 25 minutes.

  13. Give it a few days. I'm always on a high for several days after I've seen them. I saw them on Monday. I think it's great you were able to see all the O2 shows.

Yeah, I'm glad I did. It was never actually the plan, initially I was only going to the first date on the 3rd and I wasn't going to look at any other setlists and just be happy with what I got, but of course I did look and saw the likes of Apocalypse Please and Citizen Erased on other nights and I knew I had to go for the others, and that paid off particularly on Thursday night with AP and Assassin. If there's one thing I've learned about seeing Muse live, it's that you have to take every opportunity you can, you never know what's gonna happen.

Sorry for the long reply, but as you said, on a high. :D

Plus the O2 have taken a pic of the whole audience to show on their FB site at 8 pm tonight - can't wait.

I came in while they were doing this and it took me a while to realise what they were doing, so I probably look confused in the picture. Interested to see it tonight.

Loved the Mexican wave shortly after, it's been ages since I've seen one at a gig.
