Virtually same set list as brissie but with butterflies and hurricanes instead of feeling good and the fact the band looked to be enjoying themselves a lot more.
Edit: liquid state was added
For me, better performance, better crowd and better venue. Ill be trying to fly down to Sydney for future gigs instead of bris.
-
Sydney people, I am staying near st james station and was wondering whatd the best way to the gig and how long would it take?
-
Agreeing with the set list being a let down. I did enjoy the first part was hoping for some older songs to kick in but then I felt the middle part so of fell away.
Oh well - hoping sydney is a winner.

2 hours into my 7 hour drive to the gig. Come on dead star!!
-
I think Bliss might get played again and MOP. Was filthy Bliss was played Bris Night 2 last tour. Let's hope for SS into aigitated, that really is the highlight of the show.
I wonder why Chris has not been performing Liquid State each show?
No doubt see you in the line Seb
SS into Yes Please into Agitated into Freedom would be the icing on the cake for me.
Dead Star would be friggen epic, but I sense they seem to put on a better set list for the weekend shows?

Dalby? I'm not far from you.
Actually not in Dalby, about 40 minutes west at Kumbarilla for one of the gas sites.
-
Finishing my final day of work for the year and travelling back from Dalby straight to this gig - best way to end the year.

TSP!
Just beats earls court for me - heaps of energy on stage and chris head banging while matt jumping liek a retard at the end is pure win.

it's not hate for the aussies. it's hate for the fact that you have to be on a continent 12+hrs away from europe or the US in order to get an epic setlist.
isn't BDO a fest? shouldn't you pay less for a regular show than you do for a fest? idk. this is an honest question.
Yeah BDO is a fest, actually got ticket prices wrong. BDO was 150 odd for an epic line up and muse was about 130-140 including booking fees and what not.
It wasn't like their show at BDO gold coast was anything amazing, however that may have been due to the fact it was about 40 degrees or something ridicolous.
-
So the tickets cost 130? And we paid 65.
So the way I see it, we only paid for the lights. You guys are paying for both the lights and the quality of songs, it would seem.
I fucking hate Australia, and it's not even Australia's fault. I fully expect special treatment to occur, and it's been pissing me off for the last couple of months. I will go into full rage mode when (yes, WHEN) they play a bunch of rarities there, even if I see it coming.
Expect some epic rants during the Australian tour.
Ah feel the hate for us aussie:LOL:
I paid the same price to see muse as I went to BDO and BDO was fucking awesome and not because muse played. My expectations aren't terribly high, probably will be same old set list similar to BDO earlier in the year..

Bliss and Fillip
Spent far too long listening to the new album all this year, then started looping through older stuff again

Better than the last album's first single, so that's a positive. I didn't mind it but I was more focussed on the instrumentals than the vocals. I think the vocals could be far more distorted and punchier than they should be, perhaps something for the live version. But hey the riff is one of my favourite ones and am glad it's back in a more permanent role. I spent this morning getting ready for work head banging so it clearly rocks.
Lyrics are cheese, distortion hides everything
