  1. well, it shocked me and saddened me a bit...what do you guys think? :stunned::(

edit: if you dont know what im talking about, Muse won the alternative rock award at the AMA's and it was their first american award I believe ( or first AMA award, and after Matt and Dom thanked, Tom (their manager) said something like "I'd like to thank Charles Darwin..this ones for you, Charles"....thoughts?

  2. i like all the shorties being on the barrier. that means if i'm in the second/third row, i can see over them all nicely :D

actually the worst offenders for getting in the way of the view are the security guards and the damn cameramen!

yeeahh that was the worst part of barrier..and then all the crowdsurfers would come so they litterally just climbed on your face to reach for the surfers..very annoying

  3. you were the short one with your friend?? I was next to you guys!! :D I talked to you a couple times. and I was the one freaking the hell out like most of the people there :p

hahaha yes that was us! were you the one who told us we have to jump up very quickly when security hops over the barrier?

  4. Haha I have some 'barrier bruises' on my arms to from the Baltimore show. :awesome:

I heard Hardcoremidget yell "I love you Dom!" and the security guy said something to him too.

I loved the GA Muse experience and will definately do that again when/if I get to see them again.

hahahahahahaha yeah! he said something like " ehhhcck! easy there.." and then gestured to wipe the, i guess you could say, "fanboy love" oh his shirt hahha..he was funny

@Glorious Resistance: i was at the barrier towards were it started to curve to matt's side..sorta in between like dom and matt's towers..right next to bellamy'szetagirl

  5. Im 5"1 and i knew that i wouldnt be able to see..so for the Baltimore show i made sure i got there first and i was the very first one in line for the night!

the wait wasnt even bad and it was drizzling at 35 degrees F and it still wasnt bad...anyway im short and i earned barrier..i did none of that push-shove crap ;)

  6. im incredibly excited for my first muse show on wednesday..but im even more anxeous and nervous that because of how security handles early GA queue-rs and how they let everyone in though the various gates..i may not be able to get my beloved barrier that ive dreamed of for too long now! and im even getting out there at 7:00 AM to try and assure myself that il get it:( :erm::unsure:

  7. If you think you're going to pee an excessive amount, bring disposable plastic water bottles. Drink it all, then take a piss. :p

are you suggest i piss in the bottle? not sure if thats aloud in front of security and the public eye of downtown Baltimore..hehehe

  8.

Must also mention the pre-gig hydrating, then several hours of fluid restriction so you don't have to go whiz and leave your precious barrier spot! Bring snacks in your pockets to stave off hypoglycemia.

had a question about this..say your waiting in line all day..or just you wake up at 6 AM, and the doors open to the show at around 6:30 PM..and you want barrier. should you hydrate the night before and that morning till about maybe 3:00 PM so you dont need to pee inside? help:)

  9. Camera men and security are really the only 'obstructions' you need to worry about if you get right up at the barrier. You may have to crane your neck back to see them when they're up on the towers but other then that it's a pretty clear view.

    alrightyy..thank ya

  10. well its just been confirmed that us lucky USA fans get the same stage design as europe got ( i guess now for sure we really cant say Muse doesnt like america hehehe)..so you europe fans..can you tell us that are going to be trying for barrier and close GA/Floor where a good unobstructed view of everything is at the very front floor? i know its more rough towards matt and blah blah blah but i dont really care about that..i just wanna know if theres a spot where something is obstructing my view ( im 5"2 so..)

  11. 1. This all depends on the organisation of the security, there will only be more than one entrance if it is stated on your ticket so this should give you an idea. Hopefully there will be two at once and let in at the same time but unfortunately this didn't happen in Dublin and a second queue formed at about 4pm so people in that queue got in first, so that was of course security's fault. It hopefully won't happen to you though and you'll still be considered a good spot.

    2. Don't run, security will hunt you down and drag you away.

i checked and i couldnt find anything:/ but thank you for the advice..just really worried i wont be justified for claiming my spot for barrier....hopefully "Theres some justice in the world.. "

    ;)

  12. i know i really hope that some of us dont get screwed over like that..i had two concerns too..1. so what if they open doors on multiple sides of the arena ( which im imagining they are doing as it is an arena its not a small venue) and one side is slower then the other or people at one door have been waiting since 12 noon while people at the other side have been waiting since 8AM, but something goes a little wrong and 12 noon gets to barrier and 8 AM does not? hhmmm......2. what about running to the barrier once your free inside the arena? If someone runs pass you who was behind you in line, are you aloud to sprint your butt off and own him or are the security just going to call you on that?

yes..i overhype things and think about things alot..im that kinda person heheh

  13. My son was on crutches with a full-leg knee brace (soccer injury) at his first Muse concert in 12/04 and he didn't sit! How can you just sit there?! I remember after the opening song, he turned to me and calmly and slowly said, "Holy shit!" Another Muse addict is born! (This MuseMom pulled him out of school for a couple of days to go to LA, where his brother was in college, so they could experience Muse live in concert.... guess I'm a bad mom?)

thats so awesome! no your probably the sweetest mom ever? hahahaha

  14. Pretty much every venue here if you're under 16 it's advised you have an adult with you, I think it only applies if you obviously look very young and are on your own

idk that may only apply to Europe thats not usually like that in America..i checked websites and everything and from past concert experiences Ive been allowed in the pit with friends...but if that rule applies im 14 and my friend will almost be 16 but thats complete bull if they dont let me to get my spot at the barrier ive been waiting 2 1/2 years for.

  15. Are you actually 13, because as far as I know you have to be 16+ (in most places) to have access to the pit/GA. I think you'll be alright if you are with an adult though.

Also, if you don't think you can handle the crush but want to be closer to the barrier I'd head to Chris' side as it's usually more chilled there.

seriously? what places have you been where thats a rule?

  16. Yeah someone already mentioned this question, but what about the people getting there at 7 am and its gunna probably like 35 degrees out. I kinda plan on gettin barrier so I will be there early, so i will need layered clothing, but then even if my place has a coat check, I don't want to waist time with that I want to get to the barrier as soon as possible. any ideas?

PS you guys are awesome this thread helps so much!
