My opinion of this album keeps going up. I would put it at number 3 now, behind Origin and Absolution. Other than some of the cheese it's such a drastic improvement from The 2nd Law. Seems almost as huge as the change from Showbiz to OoS.
-
This song is pretty awesome, it is placed perfectly on the album and fits very well. It's probably somewhat weaker when taken alone. The last part lets it down slightly. I don't think it's inherently bad, but it absolutely could have been something better.
-
11/10 until the church/country part. 9/10 as a whole. It's beautiful.
-
Yesterday I would say the album was a 6/10. Now I say it is 8.5/10. Revolt and Mercy still the weakest tracks. Mercy is good, not great. Revolt no longer makes me want to vomit. Either I am desensitized to it or it has grown on me slightly. It is now perfectly tolerable mixed with the rest of the album.
The surprise hit is Aftermath. Love it!
Origin > Absolution > Black Holes > Drones > The Resistance > Showbiz > The 2nd Law

Okay. My first impressions were not good. But after listening a few more times, I am starting to appreciate the songs more. Aftermath is beautiful. The Globalist is pretty good after you get all the "This was supposed to be Citizen Erased 2!" out of your system. Defector is catchy and the guitar is awesome.
However, Revolt is still Revolting and Drones... haven't wrapped my head around that one yet.
-
Not sure what to think right now. I'm stunned. Have to try and wrap my head around this and then listen again at some point. First impression: they must have recorded the first 6 songs, took a long break to watch a bunch of lifetime movies and go to church a few times, then came back to record the rest.

Eternally Missed. For some reason it has taken me years to realize how awesome it is. I thought it was mediocre the first few times I heard it.

I feel like Dom might have partied too hard the night before this interview.
Always fun to watch the weird fidgeting Matt does whenever he isn't talking.
-
As my favorite Muse song EVER is and is going to be Citizen Erased, i couldn't help to feel the connection between these 2 songs, so yeah, love The Globalist.
Any word on track lengths?
-
I think it is likely to bump BHaR out of third place. Depending on the quality of unheard songs, there is a slim chance it will even take Absolution out of 2nd.
-
I love the lyrics and the way Matt sings them. If this is as "poppy" as it gets, being the lead single, I am very happy. And I am very, very ready to hear The Globalist!
-
I love the song. Had a huge grin on my face through all ten listens so far. I can't wait to hear the continuation of its "plot" through the other songs. I'm pretty optimistic. I kind of wish I wasn't, but I am.

I love the artwork.
Not as good as the one in your signature, but at least they copied the text placement

I think it looks great. I'd rather have it without the logos though.
I think it would look best with just the MUSE, no Drones.
-
Nothing new, but I still love the artwork.

That the drooling idiots in this thread will waste their time again until we get an announcement tonight/tomorrow.
That much is true, at least. I will also be staring at twitter until I feel like killing myself.

Not pass/ user box again at drones.muse.mu = O
Yup! What can it mean?

buzz
Not the bees again!

It seems like they would have just left it if we were meant to find it already. Why take it away, so close to everything? Especially since Matt said we would be getting info today. I guess we will find out... hashtagsoon.
-
Something has to happen soon, right?
-
Getting username/password box again. I guess they changed it from muse and muse.
-
N for now?

Tom should tweet #soon just to be safe.
Well, we had soon, then oon, then something being on, so maybe his next tweet will just be "n"
