  1. Wow this thread was super helpful : ].

I have a question though. If you're on the barrier can you move around? Like are you able to dance and stuff or do you have to be glued to the rail for 4 hours?

I've never been to a show this big before :$.

Every time I've had barrier I've been able to dance. This is off on the sides though, center front gets pretty cramped.

  2. oh and btw at the November Birmingham gig, the fans queued right around the building, single file, very orderly and polite. Then the idiot security came and decided to use a different entry door and told everyone to move, starting a bit of a free-for-all, when they could have just taken the people at the head of the line and moved them over, the rest following.

Similar thing happened at Sheffield, when they finally brought us up to the doors they split the line a couple back so people who were 50 or so behind me (I was only about 10 back from the front) got to the doors first. Then the next day at Liverpool they didn't put the signs up for GA queuing until around 5 so my group had to move. I even talked to the people at the other entrance and they were not very forthcoming.

    le sigh.

I've noticed too that security in the UK seem to be far more liberal with giving out water. The gigs I've seen in the states they always seem a tad more put upon about it.

  3. I was wary to bring up Jolly Green. Could spot that one all the way across the pit.

Anyway. I've gotten good vibes at MSG before and I'm sure I will be again so this barrier/tall person thing shan't be an issue. Now I just have to watch the back of my head for crowd surfers, which, and I'm sure everyone agrees on this, are dangerous.

  4.

Aaaaaaaand tbh, this whole argument is getting so ridiculous  The people who have been queueing the longest are the people who should be at the barrier, regardless of height. Simples!

Right you are, dear. And Allie, unlike most people here, you know me and know that when it comes to Muse concerts I rarely complain about anything.

I'll keep it to myself next time.

  5. You are right, first come first served, I GET IT. I queue for hours as well, have been to the front of the line only to be screwed by line jumpers (which tall people do too - we shorties don't corner the market on cutting) or security mucking things up. I'm not new to this game, thanks. I was expressing annoyance at something, like A LOT of you do when they play Guiding fucking Light or some shit. I have never asked to stand in front of someone because I'm shorter. And I've never said to any of you taller people that you're rude for not letting someone go in front.

  6. No, that means you didn't get there early enough. First come first served. If you can't see then move somewhere you can

I know how a queue works, thanks, but its not always the case. Short people aren't the only ones who duck and cut through. Just saying. But I deal and have a good time anyway.

Some have beef with what songs Muse play, I have beef with having to dance behind someone's back so I don't spend two hours looking at a t-shirt. Especially if they could see clear over my head.

  7. I think it's more of an issue of people who've been queuing just as long. I'm also quite short and I wait to get a spot in the front but when the person directly in front of me at the barrier is 6 foot or taller it is slightly annoying, especially if they're not letting people peak past. Tis the one thing I fear about GA.

It's a concert, not a battlefield. Common courtesy shouldn't just fly out the window.

    we will rock you-queen

    hallelujah-jeff buckley

    drive-cars

    zero-the smashing pumpkins

    please forgive me-david gray

    creep-radiohead

    boys dont cry-the cure

That's one of my all time favorite songs. I'm not saying Muse couldn't do it...but I don't think they should. Hearing Matt sing it would probably be amazing...but that song is too perfect for me. I listened to Rufus Wainwrights' cover and went 'UCK' And I adore Rufus.
