Jamie, I'm on tour with Guster for the Last Summer on Earth tour. It's Guster, Barenaked Ladies, and Ben Folds Five.

 

We just did a show in Maine last night, these highways are shit. Can't sleep. You should definitely try and make it, it has been a killer show. Especially Ben Folds, he is unreal.

That one was the crunchbox with the custom MQ's. The guitar toss was the next gig! This was pretty uneventful. Except an amazing setlist filled with bliss, citizen, hoodoo, and other good songs.

I've posted more in the last 30 minutes than I have in months. I'm on hour 15 of rebuilding the shop here. We tore down all of the old benches, and are completely redoing it. 1,600 square feet of shop space. 3:40am right now. About to call it a night. Maybe. Or make coffee.

It was brilliant. The venue held maybe 1,500-2,000 tops.

It had to be the next level up from a large bar. It was a strange feeling hearing this epic music in such a small place. Aaannnddd I just remembered that I have muse tickets for their Oakland show next week. I damn near forgot

Yes yes. Ummm... fuzz I got rid of, I have no idea to whom are when. I may have a photo somewhere of it. This was way back when Muse liked to hangout with their fans.

Back in 2007 when I got my first fuzz factory, I had no idea what to do with it. All the settings were foreign. We caught muse after a gig, and I told Matt I had no idea what the fuck to do. So he set it up the way he does, and said "fuck around with this knob a bit."

I've seen a few Fender custom shop 60's reissues come through and they had those. A lot of times they were hidden under the plate that covers the bridge.

A 1962 Vox Invader. Lots and lots of onboard effects. Distortion (gain control), treble/bass boost (EQ control), tremolo (speed control), tuner (just a light pitch when on), and a wah (the lever behind the bridge, that controls the sweep). Very very cool guitar.

James, you should look into the stetsbar trem. We've installed quite a few now, I feel they perform much better than the bigsby. Smoother, more tuning stability, and they look great

The Elvis Costello jazzmaster has the tuneomatic, works real well (and looks sexy). You can always radius a tuneomatic bridge, most are set roughly at 12", but you can get it to a 9.5". You'll rarely want a 7.25" at the bridge, quite uncomfortable for any bending.
