DreamOutLoud Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 I have looked and haven't seen anything posted in this forum about this. I know we do the twitter list aka sexy plane for the shows but what about people doing live audio feeds thru their cell phones to sites such as : http://en.1000mikes.com/?? This is done for almost all of the U2 shows. I would say there is always someone who does it for about 95 percent of the shows.. Audio can be lower quality but at least we all can here it live online and experience along with the musers at the show. Has this ever been done? If so what happened? What are your thoughts on this.. I think it would be pretty awesome if we started doing this or at least gave it a try at a couple of shows.
DreamOutLoud Posted October 7, 2010 Author Posted October 7, 2010 Wow.. no one has any thoughts on this?
trogette Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 streamers turn up very occasionally, usually on ustream. Last night's venue someone was complaining about not having enough bandwidth to tweet photos, so a stream probably wouldn't've worked. It totally depends on someone taking the risk, really.
leetroot Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 i had a similar idea once but it was more along the lines of the gigs being broadcast on this website from a live professional feed so we could all enjoy every gig (and complain about the setlist ) i also thought it would be cool for each gig to be put on CD so we could buy them. i love having recordings of gigs i have been to.
emperorhand Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 i also thought it would be cool for each gig to be put on CD so we could buy them. i love having recordings of gigs i have been to. A lot of us have been asking about this for years. Even just put up the mp3s online to download, as they don't even have to be lossless. Just put up a mixed feed and rake in the dough. I'd easily pay twelve or fifteen bucks for a professional recording of my Muse gigs.

Like I said tho even a low quality audio is pretty cool. It was just a idea I thought of to add to the tweeter list we normally follow. I haven't seen a audio feed for any of the shows this tour tho.
mishell73 Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 I have a live recording of the Linkin Park concert in MN from a few years ago. It was $15 and I was happy to pay it. On their forums, they even encourage others who had purchased downloads of the other shows to share them (of which I downloaded several). And if the band didn't play one you wanted to hear at your show, but they did at another one, you can hear it as well. It's really a neat thing to have a professionally mixed recording of the show you attended. Brings back the feeling you had when you were there. My LP cd's still give me chills
Frakkles Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 As much as I hate to say it, 'The Enemy' have a lot of live MP3 recordings.

WutDaFucksy Posted October 11, 2010 Posted October 11, 2010 exactly! minimal effort for maximum return. Sounds perfect for Muse
dead-duck Posted October 11, 2010 Posted October 11, 2010 i had a similar idea once but it was more along the lines of the gigs being broadcast on this website from a live professional feed so we could all enjoy every gig (and complain about the setlist ) I had the idea of the livestream too, but it would be too expensive to get the bandwidth to provide the stream, I guess... This, on the other hand: i also thought it would be cool for each gig to be put on CD so we could buy them. i love having recordings of gigs i have been to. A lot of us have been asking about this for years. Even just put up the mp3s online to download, as they don't even have to be lossless. Just put up a mixed feed and rake in the dough. I'd easily pay twelve or fifteen bucks for a professional recording of my Muse gigs. ... is doable and makes money rather than costing money I like this idea Has the idea ever been presented to them and gotten a reply? I was thinking we should keep this in mind next time there is an opportunity to submit questions to the band. As much as I hate to say it, 'The Enemy' have a lot of live MP3 recordings. when I moused-over that, I expected a link to radiohead.com.... I guess I had the wrong "enemy" in mind!
