This version is muse original?.

I remember seeing that stockholm syndrome was originally composed on piano in an interview with Matt, so that is very possible. As for sheet music, that would be very hard to come by, but I might be able to rustle up a rough outline.

That link you posted has several pianos, if you wanted to learn SS on piano I would suggest learning it how this guy plays it

It shouldn't be too hard if your an experienced pianist, which I am not :p But if you really want to learn the part you posted, go ahead.

Moin,

I don't know if this is the right place to post this question, so please feel free to move this post!

I'm urgently looking for the scores of the intro of this song:

From 0:15 to 0:54

My ears aren't that good...so maybe someone is that kind to listen and figure it out for me.

Thanks ahead!!!

Cheers

Will

  • 5 months later...

Big request Kittens. I have another performance assignment due for after the holidays for Music Tech (hopefully this time I won't get marked down for god-knows-what-fucking-reason).

For this we have to do a performance with some form of visual accompaniment, so I'm probably going to be doing Supermassive Black Hole seeing as the live visuals are available on youtube.

Only thing is, I also want to incorporate my whammy in the performance by doing the Teignmouth solo, but I don't have any guitars available to me at the moment so I can't exactly work it out...anyone on here care to give it a try? Would be a massive help

Not exactly sure about the second part, but if I remember correctly the first part is just hammer ons on the 15th and 16th frets on various strings accompanied by +2 octave whammying.

But its been a while since Ive played it so I may be wrong :$

If I get a chance I'll have a go later on :)

When I first heard that I had to try it out on piano too cause it sounded so awesome. Even though I can't play piano. I just listened to what it sounded like he was playing and I'm pretty sure it's right. I'm not sure what he does on the left hand, but I play the bass line with my pinky and thumb (octave for each note): B E F# D, B E F# lower B. And then on the right hand I do a repeated pattern of : F# D B then G D B then A D B, then back to F# D B then G D B then F# D B.

that's how I play it, at least. It could be wrong, could be wrong (but it sounds alright) just getting the rhythm right is something you can easily toy around with.

AAAAnybody know the chords Mr. Bellamy plays from 1:39 to 1:50

thanks

e--8-----7----7-----8----10

B--10---7----9----10---12

G--9----8----9---10----12

D-----------------------------

A-----------------------------

E-----------------------------

You're welcome :p

He plays these same chords during this part of TiRO at wembley 2007 too, but at wembley you can hear the chords better, if you're not sure :)

Haha, no probs

I understand :p

The chords are actually the same as what he plays during the rest of the verse, but just higher on the neck(it's still Am, B, E, F, G).

This explanation is probably not clear at all, but whatever.

Have fun playing :p

Hey guys,

I've made a research but didn't find anything about this so...

I'm looking for piano sheets or piano arrangements of the TaB intro Matt used to play.

Here's what I'm talking about :

[YT]

[/YT]

The small thing played before Space Dementia starts.

Does anyone have the sheets for this, pls ? :)

I've checked on Google and so on but can't seem to find it... :/
