Bohemian-Cygnus-Running-Out Posted August 13, 2018 Posted August 13, 2018 Follow Me. It’s fucking amazing. For being one of my least favorite Muse songs (sorry, mainly it's the wubs that get me), I've always loved the Matt's vocals at the start, especially the way he overdubs a descending vocal on the word "surround." Really love that!
LewisF Posted August 13, 2018 Posted August 13, 2018 It’s a great song tbf. The “when your heart is breaking” big is just Would love to hear how it originally sounded as a 3 piece rock son
Jobby Posted September 4, 2018 Posted September 4, 2018 Falling Down piano > than the guitar version and v fun to play/sing despite being so simple Pray it comes back one day and wasn’t just a freak one-off for that short stint. Sure Matt’d give it a go if someone requested it.
Spiralia-statica Posted September 6, 2018 Posted September 6, 2018 I’ve recently started loving Drones (the track). Before I haven't really listened to it : too weird with this religious sound... Now I love it : it's so delicious and hypnotic to be surrounded all around by Matt's voice 😵
Spiralia-statica Posted September 6, 2018 Posted September 6, 2018 (edited) Greetings! To be honest, each their song itself seems to be awesome. I feel so good when listening to them... Same... I love almost all their songs... I feel very good when I listen Matt Bellamy's voice, especially with his high notes and high screams that make me feel "high" myself... Spectrum IV Posted September 11, 2018 Posted September 11, 2018 Shrinking Universe. Ooh ooh ooh. Oh oh oh oh oh. YEAHHHHHHHHH YEAH YEAH YEAHH AHH. OOH OOH OOH OOH. OH OH OH OOH OOH OOH OOH.
Spiralia-statica Posted September 13, 2018 Posted September 13, 2018 do you like Matt’s voice I'm crazy about it 😁
New Born Lee Posted September 21, 2018 Author Posted September 21, 2018 Yo, Sunburn is pretty good. I forgot. I have also never noticed quite how Radiohead-y it is.
Clunge Posted September 21, 2018 Posted September 21, 2018 +1 on Shrinking Universe. The sad thing is it’s a circa-2000 b-side. If Muse dropped a Shrinking Universe tomorrow, it’d be hailed the best thing they’ve done for more than a decade.

Agreed, aside from Fury, it's probably the one song I wish made it onto an album so it could be played more frequently more than any of the other B-Sides.
Bs Posted October 13, 2018 Posted October 13, 2018 Exogenesis in its entirety. I've always loved part III, but it's been a long time since I listened through the whole thing at once. I'd forgotten how good part I is and I've often ignored part II. Enjoyed it today though. Also, as I'm in a slow Muse mood, Blackout, though I've always known how good that song is anyway, so maybe it doesn't count, but still...lovely stuff!
TheSmallPrint02 Posted October 27, 2018 Posted October 27, 2018 Saw MK Ultra on Spotify yesterday, so decided to give it a listen. Not sure why exactly I haven't listened to it until now given I've listened to (and love) every other song on the Resistance.
EveryToilet Posted October 28, 2018 Posted October 28, 2018 Unnatural Selection. This song seems to be a fan favorite and tbf it was an early favorite of mine but I got over it after a while but I revisited it recently after someone compared it to New Born (not that anything could compare to my baby New Born). And it's a solid headbanger! Way more interesting than anything else on the album, MK Ultra and Exogenesis 1-3 excluded.
That Little Animal Posted October 31, 2018 Posted October 31, 2018 Recess. It never stood out to me before. But it’s got all the right Muse elements from that era without being obnoxious or immature like some other b-sides.
Clunge Posted November 1, 2018 Posted November 1, 2018 I think Recess is genuinely one of their most creative and challenging tracks, while combining every element I believe defines Muse AND keeping it to less than four minutes. One of their very best songs.
matthijs Posted November 1, 2018 Posted November 1, 2018 Recess has a brilliant buildup, definitely one of the stronger B-sides of Hullabaloo
frutiger75 Posted November 3, 2018 Posted November 3, 2018 frankly, i don't listen to much muse at all in between album release periods. going through the albums rn in advance of ST's release. i'm being reminded of why this band has created gold...and total crap. ...and why divisiveness exists amongst opinions on all different sorts of tracks. will report back with rediscovered favorites in due course.
Citizen_Eraser Posted November 4, 2018 Posted November 4, 2018 So I just read on Reddit Matt finally sung the vocal bit in Unsustainable. Holy fuck thank god. I thought this would never happen. Should've done it from the beginning.
Spiralia-statica Posted November 4, 2018 Posted November 4, 2018 So I just read on Reddit Matt finally sung the vocal bit in Unsustainable. Holy fuck thank god. I thought this would never happen. Should've done it from the beginning. I wanted this for so long as well 😊 I'm so happy because all I want about Muse happens : -2017 : I wanted Showbiz so much...and they played it ! -2018 : I wanted Eternally missed...and they played it ! -2018 : I wanted a song never played...and they played Easily ! -2018 : I wanted Unsustainable with vocals...and they did yesterday ! So I want 2 other things : -Plug in baby without final distorsion (Even if Matt's voice sounds a little different from before, I love it and I know he can ) -1 song never played or underrated in every gigs 🙏 And sorry for my english, I'm french...
Jobby Posted November 4, 2018 Posted November 4, 2018 -2018 : I wanted a song never played...and they played Easily ! *2017 Also, maybe I’m wrong but I feel like these are strangely specific per year things to want
forevermusic Posted November 4, 2018 Posted November 4, 2018 I'm confident enough that at some point 2019, they'll bring in a song they haven't done in a while. Just that I am equally confident it will be played at a gig I don't attend.
Citizen_Eraser Posted November 4, 2018 Posted November 4, 2018 *2017 Also, maybe I’m wrong but I feel like these are strangely specific per year things to want Maybe this is Matt’s gf and she’s using the French thing as a cover lol. Username makes sense given what we learned the other day and all these specific things she wants to happen are happening.
