forevermusic
Exactly my point! Ask for these songs while he can sing them, then when he's getting old and tired he can sit on a chair and moan out HCM. When Matt was younger I swear he wanted to do this as it'd be like Tom Waits. Zepp
TIRO is a weird one because I actually think it loses a lot of its potency live. The studio version is one of the best things Muse have ever done. It's probably a bit worn out at the moment but the early performances are among the heaviest Muse performances. Clunge
Yup, agreed. The MTV2 Gonzo one and some of the 2003 promo shows it sounded massive (AB Brussels).
Jobby
Fillip, it might be cheesy as fuck but I'll be damned if it isn't mindless fun God, I hope I see it at a club gig at some point. Looking back, it seems like the band and crowds loved it. Bet that build-up after the breakdown would be mega as well.
PwoperPati
Agitated I have those moments, when I can listen to this song like ten times in a row pressing replay, replay all over again.
Jobby
Oh, and now also HTAILY. Because fucking hell. Other people's opinions very rarely bother me but the fact that a fair amount of people say this is the worst song on Showbiz genuinely baffles me. Like, what are you listening to. Muse, pls pls pls remember how fucking immense this song is and bring it back. Piano version, guitar version, I don't care. Just let me see it before I die
lurkinglurkerlurksagain
Con-Science gives me chills. It's ridiculous this didn't make an album.
Jobby
In Your World, average song but could be a dead fun (and easy) Psycho Tour 2 addition. Also, House Of The Rising Sun. Simple cover but easily one of their most underrated songs imo, I honestly don't think I've seen it mentioned once on here in years Those chugging sections and Matt's vocals in particular are immense. Fuck no it's average, it's an underrated masterpiece For me, I kinda forgot Futurism and then it kicked my ass when I heard it again. Holy shit what a song. LewisF
Ruled by Secrecy. Any recommendations for great live versions?? Earl's Court 2004 (2nd night, pro shot is available) and Glasgow 2012 are the two I'd recommend
Jobby
The whole of Origin. Downloaded the multi-cam of Leeds 2011 from Musebootlegs before it shuts down and re-lived the whole thing for the first time since the gig <3 The performance of CE from that gig is a lot better than I give it credit for as well. Zepp
Boredom. Wish they'd record that one properly and possibly include it on the next album, but it's quite far from their current sound, and I wouldn't want it so polished.

xBlackout
Follow me. I don't usually like songs from The 2nd Law, but recently I listened it on Rome Olympic Stadium and now I can't get it out of my head

Heard the Wembley performance get hyped up a lot over the years but never really got it whenever I've watched it. Always thought LCCC was better from that tour and the '01/'04 performances will always be the definitive versions imo.

Jobby
Hullaballoo CE is godly. Haven't listened to anything from Hulla apart from Dark Shines in a couple of years tbh I'll have to give it a re-watch soon. I always remember CE from Route du Rock, Earls Court, Big Day Out and Glasto as being faves though.

Clunge
Falling Away With You. This song should have been huge. I think because they never actually played it live, it slips off everyone's radar. Those swirly arpeggios and Matt's wailing is brilliant. The power of that second chorus :'(.

Zepp
Resistance. It's weird but whenever I wasn't listening to it I'd see it as meh, then every time it came on I'd enjoy it and think "hey it's not that bad at all" and as soon as it ended, would return to the previous meh phase. Recently I've come to terms with my liking for it. Can't deny that bass (and the drums, and the atmosphere, and that catchy pre-chorus).
Hat
The pre-chorus is the worst thing about it. The intro and verse is great though.
